CM Punk; WWE Has Me Hooked Again (2012 Official Pro Wrestling Thread)

BrewCrewForever
So this PPV is what a three hour RAW will be like. Awesome. It really says something between suspensions and injuries when Hunico and Sin Cara are curtain jerking for the main events.

it looks like their big summer storyline will be AJ, Kane and Punk. I'm thinking its going to be a late 90's stephanie mcmahon / undertaker type of thing. Kanes realizes he is being used by AJ and kidnaps her forcing punk to save her.

I could see it ending up that way, but they also made it seem like Big Show was heading to the title picture with his promo last night. Unless he's going after Sheamus and not Punk. Not really sure what else would be considered "bigger things". We'll just have to wait and see I guess. Plus, there's still Bryan and Jericho and Orton will be returning. Will be interesting to see what they do for storylines.

We'll probably get CM Punk vs. Kane at Money In The Bank. Punk never pinned Kane at No Way Out, so I can see them using that as Kane's excuse to be #1 contender. Plus the whole AJ story will have something to push this feud for a month. As for Big Show, he'll probably face Brodus Clay at Money In The Bank and Alberto Del Rio will probably get his World Title match then as well. There's nothing for Cena at the moment, so I am sure something will come up for him. Maybe throw him into the Money In The Bank match or something.

Punk did pin Kane to get the win at No Way Out, so that logic says that Bryan is the #1 contender.

I am getting so sick of the John Cena character.

Every month they find a new big guy (Kane, Brock, Big Show) for him to squash. Every week he gets the odds against him and every week he comes out on top. On Monday Super Cena was alive and well. So tired of it. Then I realize its been about 7 years of this and its never going away.

Raw going to 3 hours might kill them. WCW went to 3 hours because they believed they had so much talent that they needed 3 hours to show it. Raw went to a brand extension and added another World Title and another secondary title because they had so much talent and at the time they did. Vince doesn't understand that they don't have the "star" power to go 3 hours. The fact that there are 2 World Championships still bugs the crap out of me. The product of the WWE besides save a couple bright lights is beyond terrible. Raw for the most part is 80 percent un watchable. If the writers are so terrible at putting on a 2 hour show, why in the world should I think they could put on a 3 hour show? The worst part is I want to enjoy wrestling so bad.

Rant over. I feel better now.

This is why I stopped watching 4 years ago. I'm glad I haven't missed anything.

Watch TNA. It's far better. So is ROH.

ROH is kind of fun, but I wish their TV show's production values hadn't gone back to mid '90s ECW quality after they left HDNet. Makes it sort of hard to watch to be honest.

Also, it seems like every time I turn on their show, the Briscoes are on. I don't know why, but I've never cared for that tag team.

Yeah I really wanted to get into ROH but just couldn't get over how terrible it looked.

This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

They have a show at Turner Hall in a few weeks. Doesn't get any more HD than that.

I definitely agree with the issues over their production values, but I watch VHS rips of old wrestling all the time, so I don't need everything to be "sports entertainment".

I'd prefer if they kept them apart and kept on the Punk/Bryan feud. Then they can revisit it when it's time to turn Punk back to heel.

I think they do Punk vs Bryan in some sort of gimmick match at MiTB. Then setup Cena vs Punk for Summerslam. Seth Mates a former WWE creative member was saying on twitter that they should slowly turn Punk heel or have him walk that line between heel/face and build to a heel Punk vs Face Rock at WM29. Punk holding the title until then and losing to Rock. Interesting to me.

Lock it up, the highlight of Money in the Bank will be watching AJ take another awesome bump during the Punk-Bryan match. My money is on Bryan making AJ bump with Kane coming out and chokeslamming him, setting up Bryan and Kane for Summerslam and leaving Punk as champ.

They should just give that match an hour, because the rest of the card is shaping up to be somewhat brutal. You'll probably have the Prime Time Playas vs. Kofi and Truth, Smackdown's MitB match with Tyson Kidd and Damien Sandow, the Super Cena MitB match, and then what? Sheamus and ADR? Dolph putting over someone? Another pointless Ryback squash? All of these PPV's really don't give them enough time to build up feuds that well.

Apparently there are 4 more qualifiers for the WHC MITB match, so could be 9 or 10 people in that match. I could see ADR and Mysterio getting added to the WWE Tittle MITB match too. Those 2 and The Miz are the only other former champions who could be in the match. I doubt they go with just 4 people in that match. Then I hope it's Sheamus vs. Ziggler again.
