I though the Rock segment was pretty weak, aside from the Cena portion of it. I never thought I would say that, but I'm backing Cena at Mania, too.

Yup. Can't stand The Rock. Think he is old, lame and a bit of a sellout. My dislike for him is actually making me like Cena a little and I am backing him in this feud. Cena has been pretty good the past few weeks. Can't believe I am writing that.

This is how I prefer The Rock. Awesome promo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g_mVE7zlP4

Yes! That is classic. J.R. and King are great. I so wish they would be back together again. Cole is such a joke. But this clip is awesome.."Mother Canucker." Hilarious!

Yeah that's one of my favorite promos of his. I loved King's character back then when he was more of a heel supporter. Him and JR just meshed so well with each other. It was evident during this promo. I wish we could go back to that instead of listening to annoying Michael Cole and boring face King.

Embrace The Hate BrewCrew. Haha. Been dying to say that for someone on here for a bit. I wasn't a Rock guy back in the day and I'm not now. I was always a Stone Cold or Mick Foley guy. Rock has a lot of classic promos, but the guy is acting like he built the WWE and where its at now. I don't know if thats what everyone is getting from him, but that's at least what I am getting. When it comes down to it, Rock holds the audience in the palm of his hand. And Cena is gonna get boo'ed out of Miami on April 1st and I don't plan on taking part in that.

I think him saying that stuff is part of the angle, so I don't have a problem with him saying that stuff. Of course, the major issue is that neither of these guys can heel on the other because Cena is the top dog babyface in the company and because Mania is in Rock's hometown and it's impossible for him to get booed. It's hard enough for a returning guy to get booed (see Jericho), let alone for a guy that couldn't get heel heat for the last couple years he was active, no matter how hard he tried, because people love the guy.

I don't know, maybe the point of last night was for Rock to be funny guy until Cena came out and got him to take the match seriously. Or something? All I know is that last night was the first time I was wishing that Punk/Jericho would be the main event, and I was hating that feud before. I still don't love it, but it at least feels like a main event program now.

As far as being a Rock fan, I generally am one, though I certainly preferred Austin. I loved the Rock when he was a heel, before he got so enormous. Kurt Angle is probably actually my favorite guy from that era, and since. He was a spectacular worker, as well as excellent on the mic. If he wouldn't have been made a comic character for so long he would have been able to draw better. If Austin's neck hadn't gotten injured by Owen, I can only imagine how many 5 star matches he and Angle could have worked together. Austin would likely have surpassed Flair in a lot of peoples' eyes if it had happened like that, because people forgot that Austin was a top worker before the real boom period hit.

I honestly think most of The Rock's promo last night was set up so that Cena could come out and make him look bad. There's no way he actually needed the notes on his wrist. I never even saw him look at them. And the whole thing with him making the crowd chant was to set up Cena. I guess it was ok, because it did the job, but I would've rather seen The Rock just set free and allowed more to do his own thing.

I saw him look once but I would hope that it was a sort of worked shoot, otherwise it was terrible.

SPOILER ALERT

Just saw the Smackdown spoilers and a few significant things happened. Big Show vs. Rhodes for the IC Title was officially announced. Then at the end Kane came out and attacked Orton, which could be the start of their rumored feud. If that becomes a match, we may have a better idea of the Mania card now. It's rumored that JL vs. Long will involve Otunga and Marella and possibly a few others, so MITB will probably still happen. Here's what I think the final card will look like. Not sure exactly how the MITB and and JL/Long teams will be filled, but I think they'll have both. I have a feeling the Diva match will be the dark match, or they may squeeze it in. I've heard rumors that most don't want a diva match on the card.

Cena vs. Rock

HHH vs. Taker

Jericho vs. Punk WWE Title

Bryan vs. Sheamus WHC

Show vs. Rhodes IC Title

Orton vs. Kane

Team JL Otunga, Henry, Del Rio or Christian vs. Team Long Santino, Khali, ? Maybe a returning Mysterio

MITB Miz, Kingston, Truth, Ziggler, Swagger, Del Rio or Christian, Barrett if he can wrestle, ? Could be anyone DiBiase, Gabriel, etc.

Well don't forget Kane also attacked R Truth, Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler on Monday. So maybe they are setting up Money In The Bank this way or something. Kane, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton so far. They took Money In The Bank PPV off the PPV list for a reason, so hopefully they have it.

Yeah I suppose that's a possibility too. If they do that MITB would be pretty strong. Could throw in Miz, Truth, Ziggler, Orton, Kane, Kingston, Swagger, and probably Barrett. Then have Henry, Del Rio, and Christian all on Team Laurinaitis. Not sure how they'd fill the rest of Team Long though. Guarantee Khali will be thrown in there to counter Henry. I could a returning Mysterio to counter Del Rio. Not sure who would get the last spot though. Then the 8th match could be a Divas match I guess.

I see Swagger doing something with Zack Ryder at Mania and the divas. Maybe Ryder/Kelly Kelly vs. Swagger/Eve for the US Title or something.

Take out Heath Slater from MITB and you might be right. There's only 8 in MITB usually. And Long's team is so weak compared to JL's. I feel that he'd need someone better than Ezekiel Jackson for the last spot. But maybe not. Maybe Zack Ryder joins Team Long if he competes? Then Swagger is in MITB over DiBiase or Gabriel. Divas match has to be Beth vs. Kharma or Beth vs. Natalya, or there shouldn't be one.

Appropos of nothing, but Maryse's Divas Championship runs were so underrated. Goodness I miss her putting down her out unknowing opponents in French, along with everything else about her...

I do respect Beth, there's just nothing else right now.

Ziggler was at the point that he was above MITB level and they just cooled him down so much. Unfortunately, my fears from a few months ago turned out to be correct. Now we are talking about him being in a match with jobbers like Miz, DiBiase, Swagger (who just brings him down), Slater, Gabriel, etc. I'd rather just scrap MITB if those are the guys that are going to be in it. Doing two matches with so many guys would just further show how horrible the talent level is.

Speaking of jobbers, I don't want to see any Zack Ryder at Mania.

I see your point, but those guys are all gonna be in the show somehow, and that's really the only way to get them in. MITB is an exciting match, so I wanna see it. I'd be pulling for Ziggler to win it all the way. There could be some really good spots too with guys like Kofi, Truth, Ziggler, and Gabriel in it. I think it would be worth it. MITB has usually just been about 3 or 4 guys with a legit shot to win, and everyone is there to provide entertainment value with good spots. Wouldn't be any different this year. People would buy that Kane, Orton, Ziggler, and maybe Miz could win it. And even Swagger has won it before.

So I was just thinking this from this past Monday and last Friday. Are we getting a little annoyed by the fact that WWE is wasting Punk vs. Bryan to further the Laurinatis/Long feud? These two can steal the show any night of the week and yet we get these 15 to 20 minute great matches wasted by those two feuding over a spot that is completely pointless in my mind. I'd honestly like to see after the Extreme Rulez PPV, Daniel Bryan get drafted to RAW or Punk go to Smackdown. Have them set up a match over either belt at Summerslam.

I know its far in advance to think about it, but that match would be worth for me to buy alone.

I think that feud will happen at some point in the future, so I'm really not that worried about it. It would be a fantastic feud though, that is for sure. I hope they hold off on it though, so the feud pays off at WrestleMania next year or something. That match would be a show stealer for sure. Although, if they wanted to go into it right away they could do it at SummerSlam. It will be very interesting to see if Bryan is moved to Raw though if he drops the title to Sheamus at WrestleMania. Smackdown needs to keep some stars, but I guess they could move other heels over there to replace him. Like maybe The Miz, because he has fallen out of favor a little bit.

I was talking to a buddy of mine about it and Wrestlemania next year would make sense. Have one of them win the rumble and pick the other to face for one of the belts. Turn it into an Iron Man Match. There's not a lot of wrestlers in the WWE or TNA that I would be entertained to watch wrestle for 60 minutes. However, these 2 I would be as entertained as I was during Hart/Michaels in there Iron Man Match.

So I saw today that the MITB PPV is now expected to return and has been announced for Phoenix in July. That means MITB is gone at Mania. So I think now that the JL/Long match will be expanded to 5 on 5, a tag title match will be added, and Kane vs. Orton will happen. Something like Team JL: Otunga, ADR, Christian, Henry, Miz vs. Team Long: Santino, Mysterio, Ryder, Khali, and maybe Foley or Booker T to try to add some luster to Long's team. Then Kofi/Truth vs. Ziggler/Swagger vs/ Primo/Epico for the tag titles.

Instead of Miz, I could see JL picking up Drew McIntyre as part of his team as a way for McIntyre to start getting a push again. It would slightly balance out the teams a bit more, too. JL re-signs McIntyre, he starts beating all the same guys Brodius Clay beat, then by Wrestlemania he's not a complete joke.
