2007: 28-22

2006: 26-24

The Brewers are two games above where we were at the same time last season. I know we were playing over our heads early in the year, but I was kind of hoping that would turn out more like a "head start" that we didn't have to give back. We were 14 games over .500 two weeks ago. I never imagined we'd squander almost that entire cushion before the end of May.

Same thing, year after year on these west coast trips. I'm incredibly disappointed.

BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

At least we aren't the cubs, they just lost again, this time on a bases loaded HBP.

God Bless the Chicago Cubs. They always find the most creative and ridiculous ways to lose games. Another classic Cub-like ending today.

At least when the Brewers lose, it's more conventional and less agonizing.

Is that five series lost in a row? (Mets, Phils, Twins, Dodgers, Pads -- yeah, five.) I know that they are good teams, and the rest of the Central is dreadful, but the Brewers seem to have completely lost their mojo.

when do we get to play the Crappy NL central again since being 14 games over 500 playing the central and now down to 6 games after playing the rest of the national league.

Ps you better hope the braves continue to play poor ball unlike when we played the Twins and Dodgers after they were comming off losing streaks.

One run in 2 days - I'm no mathemetician, but I'm thinking even in the NL Central that might not get the job done.

You guys who say there is nothing wrong with the live/die, HR or nothing offense are right. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

If this team doesn't figure out how to score runs without the long ball, and win some close games, we are not going anywhere near the playoffs.

Can we fire Butch Wynegar again? As I recall, it was all his fault last year.

This team is getting me seriously depressed. Can this team ever score other than on Fielder solo home runs. Can this team ever get a clutch hit? Apparently this team is going to underachieve again. I wish if we were gonna suck we hadnt gotten off to that great start. At least then I wouldnt have had my hopes dashed yet again by this team. Wake me up when this team learns how to win!

Would the president of the "Tony Gwynn needs less playing time" club forward me a membership package? I would like to join.

I resisted for a LONG time because he was able to work the count a little. (And was basically the anti-Bill Hall - You know, three strikes/three home run swings and head back to the dugout)

But watching him back 3rd in the 9th today was upsetting.

Not to mention watching Mench bat against a right handed pitcher EVER!

Weeks and Hall are swing at such bad pitches I think I saw them each take a swing at a throw to first base.

Hardy looks like he has been corrupted by his homeruns and is taking some huge hacks at pitches low and away. (I was wondering when pitchers would stop pitching him inside)

And Braun - Welcome to the big league kid. Now stop swinging at pitches above your head.

I'm angry. A 6 game losing streak is not fun. I am not happy about this.

Ned - I have a sickness. And the only cure is a few wins.

We at one point were 15 games above .500, now we are 5 games above. This team looks very much like the team at the end of 2006 which couldn't buy a RISP hit. I know this has been a tough stretch and we couldn't be expected to play as well as we had all year, but these last few weeks have been really frustrating.

We are not manufacturing runs at all and we're taking home run hacks at horrible pitches.

I also want to point out that Mench is one of the worst players I have ever seen. I remember people pointing out when he was first acquired that he doesnt strike out much. Well that is meaningless when he never walks and weakly grounds out on pitches that he has no business swinging at. As far as Bill Hall is concerned I dont know if he is trying too hard to justify his contract or what but he looks completely lost. He is completely pulling off everything. Unfortunately we cannot afford to give him some time off because Gwynn is just not a suitable replacement. We have to hope that Billy gets out of his slump and Rickie gets his act together or this team is doomed. At this point I dont even expect to win games. I watch and hope for the best but expect the worst. Getting our hopes up with that 24-10 start was one of the nastiest teases I have ever seen as a Brewer fan. I apologize for rambling on but watching this team is just so depressing at this point. I hope things turn around soon because I cant take much more of this.

Actually this team looks more like the one from the 2nd half of 2004, when they were historically bad for a team that entered the All Star break with a winning record.

This could get ugly. Too bad Gallardo cant play the outfield.
