What's bugging you? (2007)

splitterpfj

An offshoot of the "official threads" rant. It bothers me when people start threads with "I know this should be in the IGT, or Vent, or blah blah blah" If you know this, then why not put it there? These threads get locked or redirected in the first few minutes, why not just post where you are supposed to? Just because you have a slightly different slant than an existing topic does not neccesarily require a separate post. Now please excuse me while I go start a new post entitled "What's bothering me is more important than what is bothering you"

Sorry if this has been covered previously, just noticing a lot of it lately.

People, when you see a sign that says "right lane closed 1 mile ahead" do not accelerate.

A much better approach would be to get your butt out of the right lane, passing a line of stopped cars, then trying to force your way into the front of the line is not only inconsiderate and rude, it's unsafe.

Last night I had to swerve to the shoulder to miss a guy, I was not amused.

Steve "Sparky" Fifer right about now. He just yells, the post game show is no good with out Tim Allen.

AND he doesn't understand you can't find any Brewers gear anywhere not at MP to purchase in this city!

"noone" is not a word. It's the last name of the lead singer of Herman's Hermits.

No one should forget this. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Co-workers who forget to do part of their job, and who are absent the day I discover the resulting mess - which today took 45 minutes to clean up.

It also bugs me when the subject line in a thread gets lost because people just reply with "Re:re." I don't know if that's a "people" issue or an ezboard issue.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Phony baloney store clerks who smile so big and scream "Did you find everything you were looking for?"

Often times I don't find what I'm looking for, but I usually smile back and answer "Yes, thank you". I few weeks ago I decided to mention a few items that I couldn't find and the clerk looked back at me befuddled as if I was the first person ever to not find something.

Hawing, just now when I went to reply, it said Re: re, and that wasn't me who did that...

Anyways, about once a week, I receive a piece of mail from TDS Metrocom wanting me to switch to their phone service. The first line in the letter is "You've been receiving a lot of mail from us, and you still haven't switched to TDS Metrocom." No kidding I haven't. I don't have local phone service, so I can't switch. Since I haven't switched after receiving your first 100 letters this year, why would I do so after the 101st letter? Stop sending me letters...I'm not going to sign up for local phone service. Obviously, I don't want it.

One of the older guys at my job constantly complaining about the summer help and how we get paid too much, right in front of us.

Not only that, on the first day of work he kicked a woman out of "his" chair when there were none left and she had to sit on the floor.

The fact my computer shipment date was delayed AGAIN, and I attempted to call customer service to speak with them about this and was forced to wait 80(!) minutes without reply, at which point I used the online customer service only to be told I would need to call the number I had called because the online customer service representative did not have access to information about my account!

Ugh.

  • 2 weeks later...
Somebody broke the garage door at my apartment today, and the door is stuck closed. I was ready to go to work this afternoon, and couldn't get out of my parking structure. Another guy and I tried to manually open the door, but it is jammed. So I had to take the bus to work today, which wasn't a big deal, but my shift ends after the busses stop running. I now have to take a cab home, and pay $20 for it. Grrrr....

Three things:

1. When a motorcyclist stops to talk on his cell phone, he shouldn't be doing it in a no-passing zone.

2. I had to return a plastic tumbler a couple days ago because I ruined it trying to get the sticker off.

3. A few days ago, I stopped into a Wausau vet to buy dog food. (This is not my regular vet.) When I was getting the stuff into my car, a couple walked out, and the man was carrying a rather large dog.

It took me a minute to realize that the dog was dead. There's got to be something more dignified than carrying the animal out the front door, across the front parking lot, and down the sidewalk to the car.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Wow, that's a really sad story. I know if I was in your position, that image would haunt me a for a long time. But that's probably just the dog-lover in me speaking.

It's way too hot, and the Brewers just had a garbage road trip.

Is this bugging anyone besides me?

Umm no I'm pretty sure every Brewers fan in the heat is feeling the same way you are.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
