[ People with out any passengers using the carpool lane while I sit patiently in line with everyone else.

The southbound on ramp on US 45 at Silver Spring has a Sheriff parked on the far right side once a month or so picking off those who use the HOV lane. Rather funny when you see them lock up the brakes and try to contemplate how to get over the concrete barrier which is probably 8" high to get back in the 2 normal lanes.

This may be specific to only me, but I need to vent what's bugging me...

People.

Really general, I know. I work at a hotel, and tonight has been hell....

Diamond VIP's not getting their water and snack in their room

People complaining that their room is a smoking room because the housekeeper accidentally put an ash tray in the room (and the room was non smoking, I checked)

A person complaining because their computer was not hooking up to the wireless network (this woman thought that she was the only guest in the hotel hooking up to the internet at 11:15 PM, and insisted it was the network, not her computer, despite the fact she was the only person who called to complain that the internet wasn't working...and she also said that internet support people never help. I've called our support a few times, they are AWESOME). Then she proceeded to complain that we don't have a lobby computer. Well, if kids didn't download every virus/worm infested thing that they came across, we would still have a computer.

The phone ringing pretty much nonstop for 8 hours, most of them wanting to confirm their reservations or make reservations for a night every hotel in Madison is sold out.

People complain too much, yet here I am complaining about people. I guess I'm just venting. Maybe they don't complain too much, they just have too high expectations and are angered when those expectations are not met. I wish I could tell everyone who complains to me to stay at an Exel Inn or a Motel 6, then come back and see how nice our hotel really is.

Sorry I had to share my personal misery at work tonight with everyone. It is customer service, and I know that everyday when I come to work (and it is a part time job, so I don't have to deal with it everyday), but even the most level-headed person get's upset and annoyed every once in a while.

Ok, I feel a bit better.

You have a right to vent about people having this sense of being entitled to everything. There needs to be "Customer to Hell Day" rather than appreciating them. But, only once a year...maybe twice.

This morning I check in at Boston's Logan with two suitcases. I arrive at Mitchell with only one waiting for me. No word yet where the other one is. :<

On edit: Suitcase located and returned. Was on the plane, but wasn't pulled off in Milwaukee. This despite the fact I had customer service radio the grounds crew to double check and their reply was "all Milwaukee bags are off". So on to Kansas City it went. Good job, Midwest Airlines!

People who don't understand that the left lane is a passing lane, namely people from Minnesota. I made a road trip to St. Paul this weekend to visit a friend and on the way back at least 3 times I got behind a Minnesota plate in the left lane that refused to move over because I obviously wanted to pass so I had to use the right lane. I don't get it. There are even signs that say slower traffic keep right. I always thought it was common knowledge that the left lane was the fast lane. Why sit in the fast lane and not drive appropriately? Plus people can't drive on the interstate in general. I almost saw three accidents in a 4 hour drive. This really grinds my gears.

hotel front desk employee here also.

some people just get so coddled in their comfortable lifestyle that they lose sight of the fact that the people working to serve them are, indeed, people themselves. you'd think these people would worry about what these employees will say about them once they are out of ear shot, but that doesn't stop them.

most of the time, I calm myself by remembering that these people are just idiots and they can't help themselves, and it's my job to ease their struggle through the world http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I thought us people in Wisconsin had that locked up. Drive from Milwaukee to Rockford, the idoits in the left lane usually have Wisconsin plates. It's embarrassing...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif

This is where I get on to go to school in the morning, and it's really funny to see people do this. Furthermore, I'm eligible to use the HOV lane because I take my sister to school as well.

Here's one that's been getting me recently... I go to school at Pius XI, on 76th and Bluemound, right by Gillie's Ice Cream.

The right lane has been closed on bluemound from 84th down past 76th. Now, after driving past countless "road construction ahead" signs, the right lane closes off at the intersection of 84th (Glenview) and Bluemound. Now, the first day or two, I can accept this because road construction does not necessarily imply lane closure, but it's now been 10 days, and people will still blow down the right lane all the way up to the intersection and act "surprised" when they find out the right lane is closed. Now they put their left turn signal on and someone lets them right to the front of the line. Newsflash, if someone has the nerve to go past a stopped line of cars in the left lane at 45 mph down Bluemound to try to expedite their way to the front of the line, you don't let them in right away. I had to wait for 3 cycles of the light this morning alone.

the hipster doofus in the cube next to me blasting the next new best indie band. what's the deal with hipsters who push there music on everyone as the best music and all others are awful. and whats the deal with these hipster doofuses who find it impossible to like anything from the past. it always has to be brand new music that no body has ever heard of and after a week will never hear of again

You know I do like some of that music and have a lot of friends who do, but I know what you mean and I somewhat agree.

I was listening to the Yankees-Jays game in the car last night. Yankee broadcaster Suzyn Waldman said to partner John Sterling, "John, look at where Aaron Hill is."

As Sterling started to speak, the batter put the ball in play. I never did find out where Hill was.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
