Screamin' A Smith.

Yep. Bonds is going to be prosecuted because he is black. That's what this ESPN analyst said on the air. Thats why he is being treated this way, and not Mark McGwire.

Screamin' A...

The man lied to a grand jury. Committed perjury!

"Outside the box." You know, this was once a fine phrase, with a clear, identifiable meaning, now though, it's been said so often that I believe telling someone to think outside the box may in fact be inside the box.

Perhaps it's time to think "Beyond the Pentagon", or maybe think "On the dry side of the aqueduct."

I don't know.

NBC feels the need to show Notre Dame vs. Duke, as opposed to any teams that are actually worth watching.

NBC's hating that contract this year.

"On the dry side of the aqueduct."
I prefer that one.

Next year, when members opine that Ned should have used his closer in the seventh, they can criticize him for not thinking on the dry side of the aqueduct.

What's bugging me tonight is that I can't sleep because my roomate and his nasaly Dr. Frink voice are up still playing Halo and screaming at the game. Wait, now he's in his room talking loudly on the phone. Shut the hell up!!! Now I can't sleep 'cause I'm pissed off!!

Printers. Not very many companies make them, meaning that if you get pissed at one of them, your options have narrowed considerably.

I'm actually pissed at two companies right now. After buying several of their printers, I decided I'd boycott HP this time around because they wanted to charge $34.99 for out-of-warranty support to answer a yes-no question.

And their chat, which actually is free for out-of-warranty questions, is Windows-only. This company bought out Compaq, which had a chat that worked fine on a Mac. I know this because I troubleshot a Compaq computer via the Mac several times. I love the irony of that. Given that HP would have had both chats available, you'd think they'd have chosen the one that worked for all their customers, especially since printers work on multiple OSes.

Lexmark, the brand I purchased because of the HP episode, has me pissed, but less pissed. Brand new printer; doesn't work on Leopard; driver scheduled to come out in January. A salesman at the Apple Store says this is way unusual; old printer drivers tend to survive Mac OS upgrades. As a matter of fact, the old HP printer driver worked just fine on Leopard.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

I hate that Fox shows Mike Martz during the game more than there coach.

I hate that one of the women at work suddenly is watching my every move, ready to report me for anything at anytime.

I hate that my wife can get cranky anytime she would like and it is fully acceptable but if I get a tad touchy Im a jerk & Im a dont see the glass half full kind of guy.

I hate after thanksgiving day sales that advertise some great deals but they only have 5 or 6 of that item in stock.

Okay I feel a touch better now.

Brian's been saving that picture for a while. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

oh, and lexus commercials where they show the guy buying a lexus for his wife for xmas. ugh, can't stand it

I'll second jason. Those ads are certainly aimed at a very different segment of the universe than the one I live in. "Oh, bother, Christmas is coming and what can I get my loved one?....I know! A Lexus! I'll just dip into the spare wads of cash. After all, it's the holidays!" I assume that audience exists, as those ads have run in December for years now, but I don't think I know anyone in it.

Does any other ad campaign feature such large gift bows? I think not.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

There were a lot of things that bugged me this past weekend...crabby mother, hyper dog (my sister's), driving over 100 miles every day over the course of the holiday weekend, not getting sleep, family mad that I didn't spend the actual Thanksgiving day with them, rather with in-laws....

I'm sure other families' dynamics are similar, but my family is very...interesting...during the holidays. My mother, and to a lesser extent my sister, get very offended very easily during the holidays. It wasn't good enough that we drove 300 miles out of our way to see them for only 24 hours...they wanted us to be there for 72 hours. And it's not like we do anything anyways. Friday, we watched 2 Bond movies, went shopping for an hour, played Wii and Guitar Hero and ate pizza, oh and got ridiculed by my mother for every little thing. I missed 2 more days of that. I'm not sure how long it will take, but my mom needs to remember that I am now married, and I am to be split amongst the households pretty evenly. I can't make it to be with the family for every holiday every year.

Right now, my sister and I both alternate who we spend Christmas eve/day with. This year, we each see our in-laws on eve/day, so we are both seeing our parents the weekend before. Next year, eve/day with my parents. My wife's parents have a great understanding of this and are fine with it. My mom...holy cow. My dad says she goes on and on about how her children don't love her and she wants to move to be closer to her family back in Iowa, yada, yada, yada. Get over it! We will still see them over the course of the holiday weekend.

Enough rants about my mother.
