What's bugging you? (2008)

I hate the use of "It is what it is." It's used so much on that four-letter network that I hate watching it even more.

My big thing right now is I hate typing in all those validation keys while voting for Corey Hart. What do I have to validate? That I can type? It's unlimited voting! Seriously...who cares?

harleys with illegal exhasts. why the heck they feel like thats cool is beyond me. there is a harley bar that just started up across the river from my house. they are can be so loud i cannot even hear my TV that i am sitting 10 feet from, or carry on a conversation while they are crossing the bridge over the river. they also do the revving up the bike thing at the stoplight, gosh that sucks.

Try working at Harley for a while. When I was working at the Corporate HQ on Juneau Ave, there were always dozens of bikes outside of the building. It was pretty easy to tell when it was quitting time.

It's validating that you're not a script/program someone wrote that could generate votes as fast as their server could process.

People who buy tickets in the family section and then make a big deal about having to go elsewhere to drink. By my count there are 151 seating sections in Miller Park, and 148 of them allow alcohol. If you have to have a beer at your seat, pick one of the 148.

In a similar vein, parents who buy tickets in the family section and leave their kids while they go to drink elsewhere.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

i like to drink as much as the next guy, but to go three hours at a baseball game without drinking doesn't really sound that difficult. Plus there's something about walking away from your kids in a 40,000-seat stadium that i wouldn't be able to do.

what bugged me yesterday: going home in the rain on a four-lane road, and this lady just stopped her car right on the fast lane and put her flashers on, just to chat away with a dude who was heading the opposite way. yep, just stopped right there in the lane to chat. I just about hit the dude in front of me.

Viagra commercials. Not only do they bug the snot outta me (a whole separate "life isn't fair" rampagehttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif) but can't I watch Sportcenter with my 6 & 9 year old boys without that coming on?

Speaking of everybody's favorite four-letter sports network, those X-Game commercials are really annoying, even though I know they are aimed at a different crowd, who ironically is probably playing video games at that moment anyway.

There, I let a little steam off for now so I won't completely blow http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

The thing about those Viagra commercials (or the other brands, too) is that the guys in the commercial are all in their 40s or older, but the wives, for the most part, appear to be in their 20s and 30s. Obviously younger and obviously very petite.

Pitch, you nailed my "not gonna go there" rant!!

One more thing bugging me, and this is for the aforementioned boys. Due to all the rain this year, over a third of their baseball games so far this summer were cancelled. Even last night, the 9-yr-old's game was called after an inning and the 6-yr-old's game never even started. These boys live for baseball and I feel bad for them.

Tell me about it. My son's game got called in the bottom of the 2nd last night. They also had a game canceled on Tuesday because of poor field conditions. It's getting more and more difficult to make the games up at this time of the season.

My son was pitching and threw a little fit when the game was called. Tossed his hat, threw his glove against the fence. Can't say I was very proud of his behavior (and I sat him down and told him so)...but there was a small part of me to see that he love's playing the game so much.

Patrick, my son's game was also called in the bottom of the second. Plus, he also had a game canceled on Tuesday. You wouldn't happen to live in Hartland?

Sounds like your son is the same as mine about baseball. I've even taught both of mine to hate the Cubs.

I didn't have to teach my son to hate the Cubs, it came quite naturally...even though his Grandpa is a lifelong Cubs fan. He hates the Cubs much more than I do.

My son is on the U10 Waukesha Firebirds. We play in the M.A.J.O.R. league. I'm guessing you guys play in the State league (Hartland Hawks? maybe?). We chose the league we are in because they play real baseball with lead offs, dropped 3rd strike, etc at the U10 level. We played out in Cooperstown in June and they play under the real baseball rules out there, so we needed to get some experience with that before we went out there.

The whole Favre thing and the response by Packer fans. Favre retired. The Packers moved on. Favre now wants to play. The Packers have moved on. It's on Favre, in my eyes. If Favre wanted to play this year, then he shouldn't have gone through that tearful crap that he did a few months back.

Ted Thompson has me depressed, angry, upset, everything. You don't run Favre out of town like this

I'm so upset

He was given a chance to come back a few weeks after he retired and didn't take it. Make a definitive football decision for once in the past five offseasons.

Those commercials are horrible. I'm not sure what demographic they're going for, but it definitely ain't mine and I watch the X-games.
