What's bugging you? (2009)

That new Diet Dr Pepper comercial that plays the theme song from Cheers. That's the ringtone on my phone for all of my good friends and everytime the comercial airs, I jump up to find my phone. what's worse is that I just got a new phone and downloaded the version with words and everything so it is exactly like the commercial.
Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

Buying a new house that has a built in wooden bench (Pretty sweet), needing to buy a new pillow/pad for said bench only to find out the darn thing is going to cost $350. $350 for a freaking pillow. Granted it is like 6 feet long but come on!! But since I get to put up my saltwater fish tank my wife says I have to buy this thing.

By the time I get my car back tomorrow, I will have spend $1000 on repairs to the cooling system in the past month.
It's ironic that you have to pump so much $$ into the cooling system during winter.

Lack of etiquette in use of foul language in public around small children. Especially among college age males.

I don't understand the constant need to refer to just about everything using an "f-bomb" adjective. My wife and I were sitting with our 10 year old son next to a group of college age boys (I call them boys and not men, because that is the way the acted) at the Brewers game in Scottsdale the other day. It astounded me the number of f-bombs that were peppered in their conversation. Not that my son has never heard this type of language before, but there were several other younger kids in the area as well.

I never felt the need to consistently swear when I was in college and I can't recall any of my friends at the time having this need either. In fact I remember feeling very conscious about how I spoke in a public setting, not only around children but around older adults as well. My wife pointed out that she remembered being in high school and talking like that to be "cool", but then got past that stage. She was right. They sounded like a bunch of immature high school boys and not college age students. This is not the only time I have noticed this among this age group.

I'll swear occasionally, especially when I'm angry about something, but I don't understand the general usage of this type of language in every day conversations. To me it shows complete disrespect for others when this is done in public (with the exception of maybe a bar).

Try being in the construction field for the last 11 years and having a 2 yr old and trying not to swear. In my field swearing is just part of business, everyone from laborers, to management and vendors swear in normal conversation.

Miller Lite's Triple Hops Brewing radio ad campaign. They have 2 different radio spots, and they are both awful. Each spot airs around 7-8 times per Brewers game, so I can expect to hear these same 2 radio spots about a gazillion times before they go to something new.

I still swear a lot and as a teacher I had to get the hang of watching my mouth during school times. The funny thing is listening to the foul mouthed old lady teachers in the lounge at lunch though. One time I let one fly when I was working at a daycare in my college days, I felt like an idiot but the one kid that heard it laughed it off.

Take heart. We survived the lottery's "What can you get with $30 mil?" last season, and we'll survive this too.

They can keep racing for taste, for all I care. I join Invader3K in hoping that they dial back the families/love/sunshine/lollipops Klements ad.

Not saying it's not true that families should never run out of love, but I think we've been reminded enough.

The Progressive Insurance commercials. I want to smack the annoying woman "star" of these ads. I was watching CNBC before work the other morning, one came on I flipped to CNN Headline, the same commercial was running so I hopped to MSNBC and within 5 minutes the same commercial came on.

Not anymore. It's now presented by Potawatomi Bingo Casino.

If the radio broadcasts to date this spring are any indication, baseball on the radio is still being brought to us by Kohl's.

I remember wondering last season if Bob would include the "baseball presented by Kohl's" bit in the final score of a playoff clinching win. I don't think he did. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Let me add what's bugging me: patrons who visit the library and gush about how beautiful it is outside. Thanks.
