What's bugging you? (2009)

I was just over at my folks house. They have 3 cats.

They are about to have 2 cats.

What bugs me about is that they aren't doing anything about it. Just a couple of weeks ago, this cat was quite normal. Now, he is down to skin and bones (not malnourished) and looks like he's in agony. He just laid on his cat climbing thing and looked outside. When I approached him, he slowly (I mean very slowly) turned his head to look at me. He didn't even look like the same cat. I could tell he had likely been crying, too.

Mom says they know he's dying and they're just going to let him live out whatever he has left in peace. But how peaceful is it, really?

Sorry to muck up your fun from the previous 20 posts or so but couldn't they have at least checked him out with a vet? It kind of disturbs me and it's hard to get the image of his sad cat face out of my head.

Whenever I flip through the stations and WWE is on...it is ALWAYS the same characters. The two DX dudes, John Cena, Dusty Rhodes(sp?) kid, DiBease's(sp?) kid and some dude who is ripped and just goes around beating up everyone..wears purple or something.(he isnt on during this particular episode), one episode the dude took down old Dusty Rhodes and his kid looked like he was going to cry...oh yea, and I never see any actual wrestling, its always talking. Lame

we had a cat that lived 23 years. i looked up the world record and saw the oldest cat was something like 24 years old, dude even had a website with pictures of his sickly, dying cats. ours probably could have lived another year, but we put it down because it was better for it. wish the world record dude would have done the same thing.

Did your mom take it in and know what's wrong with the cat besides old age? If it's just old age I don't think it "needs" to be put down. I've seen old people that looked pretty sickly, but I don't think they needed to be killed off.

Work, customers, and inside sales are bothering me right now.

no, she hasn't taken the cats in at all. And the cats aren't all that old--9 or 10 years, I think. But the "dying" cat has a twin brother and he's just as fine as can be. It just surprised me that it came on so suddenly, as if it's an illness rather than old age. That cat was spry and running around not 4 weeks ago and now can hardly move.

At the beginning of the season I almost bought really good series tickets for the Brewers-Rockies games in Denver. I decided against it because I was unsure if I would still be in the Denver area. It turns out I'm not in the Denver area, but I could have resold those tickets for a lot of money. Uggh.

last Thursday i had a meeting with my adviser about her grading a paper of mine. i tell her that the Incomplete is holding up my student loans, and if i don't get a grade on it in the next couple days, that school bills are due and i am going to have to drop out of school. i go in yesterday to pick up my loan, but no, my adviser hadn't submitted the grade yet. the department secretary calls her at home to get the grade and finishes the necessary paperwork in 30 seconds. i was PO'd.
