What's bugging you? (2009)

What's bugging me is having to stay late at work, during a week when I already have to work overtime on Saturday (unpaid of course...your tax savings at work), because an employee forgot that the new schedule went into effect this week.

Welcome to the club BTA. As a Divorce' l have one word of advice, no matter how mutual and civil you think it's going to be... it's not going to end up that way. Take my advice, and protect yourself as much as possible. I trusted the other party way to much during my divorce, and got taken for a ride.

On a more personal level. I'm very sorry to hear that, no one goes into a marriage expecting to get divorced. It's going to suck, but after you work through all your issues, I'm sure you will come out ahead. Perhaps you'll meet this smoking hot cool chick on your forum.. and well, life turns around in a hurry.

If you're ever looking to hang at a tailgate, let me know. We're pretty pro at it, and you are always welcome.

it's bad enough that my dad is build like John Madden, except shorter and kinda hunched over due to knee problems, but it's worse whenever you go over to visit and he's just sitting around the house in boxer shorts.

Just rip my eyeballs out now and get it over with.

Just saw a comercial yesterday for Keylime Cove that compares the traffic to the Dells vs. the traffic to Key Lime Cove (located near 6 Flags). It kept flashing back and forth showing the traffic as being bumper to bumper going to the dells and free flowing to Illinois. Huh? I think they have that backwards.

Stuff I've had to have done on my car in about the past month: new brakes and pads, new rear struts, now an alignment. Due up for an oil change too (yeah, I know, it's routine maintenance). Thing is starting to become a money pit it feels like, and it's only five years old ('04 Chrysler Sebring). It doesn't help that I drive a ton (like 20,000 miles a year).

Hopefully I'll be getting a new(er) car in the fall.

Donte Stallworth for killing someone while driving drunk and only getting 24 days in jail, it must be nice to be rich and get away with whatever you want.
To be completely accurate, he got more than 24 days in jail. He'll spend another 2 years on house arrest and will be on probation for an additional 8 years after, I believe. Some community service involving speaking out on DUI's will be involved as well. So it's not just 24 days and free and clear.

He reached an agreement with the family too. His lawyer then said that he has money and can get out of it, and it sucks for those that dont have money, but thats just the way it is.(something similar to this)

Yeah, nothing can replace a life, but I'd stop short of saying that he "got off light". In addition to criminal penalties, atleast he'll be able to make good on the civil agreement, unlike most joe schmos who'd never be able to pay a dime even if the family got a judgement. Again, not that it replaces a life.

The radio ad with the David Spade-sounding guy: "Hey, worker's comp, how's it goin? Worker's comp, everybody." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

Same ad, but different reason...the Eric the Bike Man/McFarland's in Sauk City guy yelling WORKER'S COMPENSATION!!!!!!!!! bugs me even more.

While we're on the subject of ads with people who sound like other people, I'm glad those old SBC DSL ads with that Garfield-sounding guy blabbering about Eric Clapton are dead.

I hate radio ads.

Grass.

When the landscaper plants grass seed, it doesn't grow. When I plant it, it grows. What's wrong with this picture?

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Today's drive to Milwaukee from Madison was awful. We left at 3:15 and didn't park until almost 6! The Beltline wasn't moving at all (due to one random construction and many pavement buckles) so I ended up going through town to East Wash, which took over an hour. Then it took another hour from Waukesha to Miller Park.

Did I mention how much this heat bugs me?

Wow, so going through town to get to I-94 tonight paid off. Now, if only I'd known you were there, burniebrewer...not to mention, if only the Brewers hadn't justified our time sitting in the mugginess for 3 hours by sucking a little less.

My girlfriend was the twc triple trivia contestant. She claims she knew the answer was Seth, and only looked back at me to verify.

The free month of road runner justified the 3 hours of muggginess. It's funny because we were just talking about this contest in the chat a week or so ago.

If you had time warner I'd totally send the voucher to you Hawing, because I know you'd do the same for me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

That's awesome, brucrustu. I did a silent fist pump when she answered correctly, not knowing she had an indirect Brewerfan connection.

Just to keep this on what's bugging me...it bugs me to no unholy end when people fail at the Time Warner Trivia. They should be assigned a media guide or some Brewerfan access so they can become more knowledgeable for next time (if they even deserve a next time, in some cases).

Also, my workplace office is dismantled. Half has been relocated and the other half (including this workstation) is moving in the next couple of days. Bugs me. I just don't like the disruption.

I guess you could say it paid off. It still took a long time, but at least we were moving by going through town. It's just the first 1/2 hour of crawling on the Beltline that really sucked. I knew Milwaukee would have some traffic issues due to rush hour, so that didn't bother me as much. It's just that I left Madison early to avoid 5 PM rush hour, and Madison screwed up the whole deal.

I was in 416, 2nd row when you walk up the steps out of the tunnel, with the baseball analysts behind me (see random thoughts thread for details).

Dang, we were in row 4 of the 417 terrace box. Down and a bit to your left. We were on the aisle seats closest to 416, even.

If you happened to notice a woman in a gray Hart shirt get up and abruptly walk out to the concourse just before the bases clearing double in the first...that would be me.

If you happened to notice a man in a royal blue Milwaukee shirt get up and abruptly walk out to the concourse just after Soup and Kendall combined to let that easy pop foul fall...that was the S.O.

It was not a good night for fan patience in the hawing household. I think I was channeling some of davego's Twins hatred.
