Well I ended up getting some good news and bad news about school today. I found out the class that I really want/need to take so I don't have to be in school another year will be offered this summer. I also found out the price of my books and it is not bad at all! Four classes for about $275. I was thinking it might be close to about $500 because I have to take a Chemistry class. Furthermore, the book for Chemistry will be used for my summer class(another Chemistry class). But I was signing up for FAFSA today because I can't afford it out of my pocket anymore won't go into effect until Fall which means I have to pay for my summer class myself. Its not too bad but that means I have to work more than I want to so I can pay the $1000 for it.

Here's what's bugging me at the moment. Every single FA this season (pretty much) has elicited at least one post on why couldn't the Brewers have gotten (fill in the blank). Usually it has some sort of mention that includes "after all, we paid that bum Gagne $10m last year", or "I mean, we pay Suppan a gajillion dollars......"

It's old. Phillis Diller old.

I sold a bunch of items on Ebay the past two weeks and offered free shipping. I have never had a problem with selling anything until today. I got a message from a buyer saying he didn't receive his item. He is located in Michigan and I sent it first class January 5. I didn't buy delivery confirmation but I kept the receipt from the post office. Apparently that won't be good enough if he tries to get his money back through paypal because the only way the seller can win a dispute is if you can provide proof of delivery. Lets say I did buy delivery confirmation and the post office forgot to scan it before dropping it off at his house: I would still lose the dispute. I am not a fan of this flawed system and will have to raise my shipping charges to cover the delivery confirmation and hope nothing like this will happen again. I will also have to make sure to not allow buyers to have less than 5 for feedback. If he does dispute this, I am out $35. I am thinking emailing him back providing a scan of the receipt and offer half his money back and he will accept it. This sucks.

If you did get delivery confirmation, and the post office screws up, you're clear. I'm pretty sure you only need proof that you sent it, it's out of your hands after that.

Had something like that happen to me once, sold an item to someone in Canada, and didn't get delivery confirmation. He claimed that he didn't receive it, filed a dispute, and I had to give him his money back ($100, which was a huge amount of money for me at the time). Two days later, he emails me and said he got it, apparently it had been stuck in customs for a month. I asked if he can send the money back...he said he would, but I never heard anything from him since.

Have a DR appointment today...he is going to tell me that I have a blown disc in my back. I did this about 12 years ago and since then lost about 45 pounds and work out just about everyday...and then it happens again. I am not amused.

I'm really annoyed by the fact that the only time the Brewers play in San Francisco this year is coinciding with their Opening Day series: it has me on edge that I won't get tickets when single-game seats go on sale in a couple weeks; at least the seats my wife and I like right behind the visitor's dugout (we like to splurge when the Crew is here, and it makes all the difference from being in the upper deck, believe me).

Seats in those sections behind the visitors' dugout are already up to $400 a pop on the low end on Stub Hub!

I'd like to go to the On Deck thing, but I'm not sure it's worth $40 + parking, in the cold, coming from Madison, to probably find more $200 batboy jerseys at the rummage sale. (UNLESS we go late in the event, when they maybe cut prices to move things...)

This is definitely small potatoes compared to other things that have happened this month, but it bugs me right now.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I have a similar dilemma in that the only time the Brewers are in Denver is at the end of September/beginning of October for the last Rockies home series. For starters, I know that the weather this time of year in Denver is not going to make for the most relaxing experience. Second, it's a huge gamble buying these tickets now knowing that the Brewers and Rockies could both be 20 games out of first place, meaning it might not be worth the long drive to Denver from Montana and prices for these tickets on stubhub.com might come way down by the end of the year. Of course on the flip side the Rockies and Brewers could be battling it out for the WC in which case the tickets will be $300 a piece more than the current price.

As I was leaving the store just now, I saw a guy walking in from his car wearing short sleeves. It's eleven below zero.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

The flu.

I was sick for two days last week, and I'm REALLY sick last night into today.

There is a lot to do on the farm today and one of the other guys called in too. So I feel like I'm letting my dad and brother down, but there is just no way I can go today. The results of me leaving the house would be horrific.

Yes, this really bothers me as well. It gets to be 20 degrees and I see all sorts of people walking around downtown without coats (other than maybe a suit jacket.). Do some men really need to display their machoism to the point of being completely uncomfortable. I don't care how much of a man you are, there is no way that you are not uncomfortably cold at 20 degrees and not wearing a jacket. What, are you going to be uncomfortably warm if you throw on a jacket in below freezing temperatures?

Also, I will never understand this wearing a winter hat inside fashion statement. People do this all year round. Even if I'm outside in the cold wearing a winter hat, I sometimes find it itchy and warm. It can not be comfortable at all wearing it indoors and I'm trying to figure out how it's considered a "good look".
