That someone on the JSonline boards has taken to using "Warning Track Power" as their handle. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

I know it isn't "my name" but as something that people on this board might read as well, it creates confusion. Especially because of the lunacy and idiocy that goes on on those boards.

And what if he writes something more knuckleheaded than what I usually post on here!!

Watching MLB Network and a commercial came on for next Tuesday's Brewers/Phillies game. Instead of just airing one of the team's telecasts, it will be an actual MLB Network production and Bob Costas will be doing play-by-play. Of course, due to the blackout rules, Wisconsin won't be able to see it.

Yeah, there is a "chuckiehacks" over there too, and he's a moron.

DatHoser[/b]]Time Warner Cable's phone "service" for SE WI has been down since at least 8:30 this morning. My opinion of them is best said on the political side forum.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
Yeah today at work I tried calling 2 different 262 area code numbers and got "Due to network congestion your call can not be completed at this time". I then tried my cell phone and got through. I saw on JS online that TW was having phone issues today. So then I tried calling my house (we have TW phone service) from my work LAN line and got the same message (call can not be completed). I tried it from my cell phone and got through. Does it make any sense that you can call a TW phone from your cell phone but not a LAN line??

Actually, yes. Depending on where a call is originating from will make a difference on how it's routed, and subsequently, might not be going through the circuit or circuits that's having the problem.

It's kind of surprising how calls are routed. I remember a day about four years ago when a fiber optic line went out. It took out all landline long distance and all Alltel (now Verizon) cellular calls in our area for the better part of the day. Cellular One (now AT&T) and local landline calls were fine.

The moral dilemma on whether to return unordered merchandise. We ordered a gift for a friend on Target's web site in January. The item came and shipped right away no problem. Yesterday we received the item again. Our credit card wasn't charged and clearly Target just screwed up on this one. Legally, they screwed up and we can keep the item, but morally we should notify them and ship it back I suppose. With Target's return policy I could print out the receipt, return it to the store and pocket $60. What to do, what to do....

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

Yeah, in another life that would be my dream job. I envy those people. If that makes me one of the stupidest people on the planet...so be it.

That I'm about ready to quit patronizing a favorite store of mine because an employee there routinely insists on splitting hairs in a conversation to make sure I know that he knows more about the subject at hand than I do. That really, really doesn't make me want to spend my money there dude.

I might be even more bugged that this is eating at me. Bah!!!

I didn't splurge on mlb.tv premium, so I have the Nats feed for this series. Man, are their announcers crappy. They're stereotypical empty-headed cliche machines and seemingly big Joe Morgan devotees. Dudes have no problem throwing out numbers from tiny samples and using RBI as proof of hitting ability.

If the employee who bugs you isn't the manager or owner, say something to the manager or owner. Whoever's above this guy would probably want to know that he is single-handedly turning one of your favorite stores into a place you might stop patronizing. Easier said than done, but that's my idea.

My family has this habit of calling us just a few days before a holiday to ask what we are doing and proceed to ask if they can come over. My mom did it 4 days before Thanksgiving and my sister just did it tonight for Easter. We do have 6 days before Easter, but I'm not very happy about this...

Late or not, why aren't they inviting you rather than asking if they can come over? Isn't that how things are usually done?

Last year my sister called me at 1 pm on Thanksgiving Day, and asked me and the wife to come over for dinner. Um.........kinda busy at this point.

So on top of my sister calling me the other night, pretty much asking to come over for a little while on Sunday, my in-laws are now here for 2 nights. This is the 3rd time in the past 6 weeks they have come and spent at least one night at our house. To put icing on the cake, my parents are visiting my grandparents in Iowa this weekend. There is a 99% chance I get a phone call on Sunday from them telling me they are stopping by on their way home. What's worse is they will probably call when they are in Verona, and I live in Middleton. I can think of at least 10 instances in the past few years where I have had less than 20 minutes notice that a family member was coming over (and everyone lives over 2 hours away...so it's not like they are popping by on their way home from the store).

Yes, this is my family. This is normal. I hate it...it bugs me.

Why don't you just plan on not being home during that part of the day? Then if they call you, just tell them, "Sorry, we had other plans, we're not home. Hope you guys have a good trip back home."

Imposing relatives are the worst. You need to put a stop to this.

I don't know when they will be calling. My sister could call, theoretically, any time of the day on Sunday. My parents...I could, but I they are hopefully bringing stuff my grandpa is giving to me.

You need to put a stop to this.

I have called my mother out on this twice....the first time I complained about giving us 20 minutes notice, the second time about giving us a couple days notice before a major holiday. Both times, she reamed me out for not being more inviting and not being appreciative of them visiting.

I went online Friday to transfer my TWC internet and TV to my new gigs. Everything seemed fine. Saturday afternoon I plugged my router in, and found that I had no internet. I hadn't unearthed the TV stuff yet to try it. I called them, and they said I had to set up an appointment. For what? The apartment is already wired for cable. I already have the box and service. Just turn it on and we're set. No, they wanted to set up an appointment for Tuesday afternoon between 4pm and 6pm. Well, I'm going to the game at 5pm, so I declined. They then offered a Thursday appointment. I still didn't understand why I would need to wait so long. Then they dropped the bombshell that they are going to charge me $15 as a "transfer fee". I used words not appropriate here and told them to just cancel my entire account. They told me that this was the cheapest way to do it, and that I should just pay $15 and wait a week for service. They said it would cost more to cancel and start a new account. I called bull and canceled.

JaDerHeyski signed up for Earthlink (re: TWC Roadrunner) and we have a Wednesday install appointment. With no install fee. Also appearing on Wednesday afternoon: Dish Network with no install fee.

I hate TWC and always wanted to switch. I was going to stay with them just to make the transition easy and not have any "down time". They got greedy (again) and tried to steal $15 from me. Now they lost the right to provide me with TV. Yet they always have enough money to market just fine (planes at ballgames, bi-monthly phone calls to get me to switch to their phone service, etc). I would have gone U-Verse, but they don't service my apartments yet.

I have been without TV and without internet (not counting work or my BrewBerry) since Friday night. I can't wait to have it back tomorrow night.

I hope you used several words that aren't appropriate to use here. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I'm not happy about your predicament, but I love the term BrewBerry. I hope your service arrives on time.

I have a BlackBerry Curve 8330.
I put a Brewers Jersey skin on it.
The first app is the Brewers app (a link to the Brewers.com Blackberry site).
The second app is Blackberry Messenger so I can talk to JaDerHeyski about the Brewers.
The third app is the Browser. BF.Net fan forum is the only bookmarked page.
Another app is Twitter. I only got it to follow @Tony_Plush. The only other people I follow are AdamMcCalvy and JohnAxford.
I thought BrewBerry is a very fitting term.

I had way more than several words with them.

JaDerHeyski signed up for Earthlink Monday. She received 5 or 6 sales calls just on Tuesday. She twice requested to be removed from their lists. They claimed it takes 30 days to process and remove her from the list. Really? Your computer systems are so backward you can't remove or change a record in 30 ms? I'm sure this has no representation of how the rest of your business operates. And I'm sure you wouldn't do anything nefarious or stupidly wrong if Net Neutrality was destroyed.

Yet they had no problem adding her to "the list" within 24 hours of learning she existed. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

I won't give Charter much, but I'll give them this much: they don't badger me with crap like that. Of course, we ignore every call whose caller ID information we can't readily identify.

Although this does not bug me, I still tip my cap to Robin19 for his tricked out BrewBerry. The only thing I'd suggest is that you follow BrewerfanToby as well.
