What's bugging you? (2011)

DatHoser
As far as those sliding cuts go I usually sleep on a recliner for a couple nights following to force me on my back with it just out in the open. This happens to me at least once a year and I am forced to wear womens' softball/soccer long socks to ease the cuts a bit.

Since I live in Madison and am a UW grad, apparently, I can get tickets to whatever football game I want to at face value...including the UW-Nebraska game.

Why would this be bugging you? Sounds awesome to me!

It'd be awesome, if it were true, instead of what NMF's family, friends and acquaintences think is true.

Our first house was a 15 minute walk from Camp Randall. When we had to move (long story in itself), my S.O. told his sister (who parked at our house for football games) and her absolute first question was, "what about football parking?" It turns out our current house is also about 15 minutes away, but nice first question.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I would also guess that NeedMoreFans' family and friends would like tickets on a day's notice, that they'd need a place to stay, and that they'd also need a meal or two.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Perhaps I should have been a little more clear. My grandmother e-mailed me the other day asking if I had any way to get tickets to the UW-Nebraska game for her friend...who is a Nebraska fan. Also, a friend of mine, every year, asks if I have any way to get tickets. He always says, "well, you live down there, so I figured you would know how to get tickets a lot easier than I would." I don't go calling my buddy in Green Bay for Packer tickets, just because he lives there. There is this magic website called StubHub...go there to buy them.

Or tell them to come into town, walk down Regent Street and buy them on the street they really aren't all that hard to find and except for huge games like Nebraska, Ohio State, and sometimes Iowa you can buy them for face or less. Just walking from my parking spot to the stadium on gameday is veritable gauntlet of guys trying to buy and sell tickets.

"Have you tried gobbing it with vaseline before wrapping? I've never had one that bad, and in such an inconvenient spot, but when I've wrapped bad cuts, I'll use vaseline or A&D ointment before wrapping. "

Not a bad idea at all. I used Neosporin, but that doesn't help with the sticking. I might give the vaseline a try next time. Thanks.

"Ah, well then thats a different story. Cant even imagine with the shin guards pressed right against it...youch. "

Also, wearing dress pants at work does not help at all either. My options were wrap it, or leak pus through my pants and irritate it all day.

Or change professions. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Clearly the best option.

the airtran commercial where the kid is selling Matt Ryan's stuff on the internet . . . how did he get scissors aboard the plane to cut a lock of his hair?

due to a Cardinals-hate streak, I think I've posted more on the site in the last 15 hours than I have in the whole month of July.

I've always hated how all UW-system students seem to claim themselves as Badgers. Now I know that saying "all" is a bit over-the-top, but it sure seems that way. I went to Santa Clara and I'm a Bronco. My family has had many go to Marquette University, so I've always supported Marquette. But I've never understood how people that go to Whitewater, Oshkosh, Stout, River Falls, Parkside, etc etc can claim to be Badgers. Don't the smaller UW-system schools have their own teams? I've really enjoyed seeing UWM thrive in basketball recently, as people seem proud to be UWM Panthers fans for the first time. But they seem the exception to the rule.

just got back from an overnight camping trip with my brother. Had a great time. Had a doe just walk down the road by our campsite and a family of deer come into our campsite to munch on leaves at dawn.

At 3:30 am, however, a VW camper van showed up with it's loud 1970s engine. There was nobody in the 5 camp lots to either side of us (campground was pretty empty). Do they pick any of those sites? No, they park 50 feet from our tent. They leave the engine running. The driver, a 50-year old bald dude, gets his halogen flashlight and starts shining all over the place, including our tent and our area. Finally, they shut the engine off but turn the lights on inside their van and set up the camper portion. Right there off the road, not in an actual campsite.

They continue to yap like it's 6:30 in the evening.

My brother and I both got up to use the bathroom, flashing our flashlight around to see if they'd get the hint. No dice. After another 15 minutes, we finally went over to "confront" them and ask what the deal is. They couldn't very well tell us much except, "sorry, this is when we got in after driving." They finally shut it all down and went to bed after we expressed our displeasure of being woken in the middle of the night because they're too cheap to pay for a campsite. We said it as kindly as we could. They were pretty apologetic at that point, but wouldn't ya' think have some common courtesy if they arrive that late? Why shine the light all over the place and keep it pointed at another tent? Do they honestly think that nobody's in there trying to sleep?

Typical Cali inconsideration . . . (yeah, I checked the plates this morning). When they left this morning, they still made lots of racket and didn't offer one, "once again, we apologize for last night."

I'm tired . . . .

Drew Olson makes my head hurt.

Today on the D-List, he was arguing that he knew McGehee and Yuni would turn it around because "they have a track record." I think he was saying that Yuni has a track record of being good. The worst part was that he said something along the lines of: "everything evens out. If you flip a coin ten times and you get a bunch of heads, you KNOW that the next ten times you're going to get a bunch of tails."

I mean, come on, even if you try to argue that a hot hitter will stay hot and vice versa, you have to know that there is no such thing as a hot coin.

I would like to play poker with Drew Olson, however.

I think you're oversimplifying what hewas saying. He was advocating for the Brewers mangerial approach which takes the long-term view that guys who under perform will eventually return to the mean. Rather than calling up a guy like Green with great AAA numbers, but you don't know how he'll perform in MLB. I know that people on this board widely don't agree with that approach, but I don't think he was ever calling Yuni "good." Just better than he has been.

As far as the coin analogy, I think he oversimplified it too. It is one of the first things they teach you in stats class tho, the more you flip a coin the closer and closer it tends to get to be a 50-50 split.

When did question marks become taboo. Don't you work in sales and correspond with clients on a regular basis. Is the shift key too much work for you. How did you make it through college never once asking a question, only using statements. Do you need a new keyboard.

I see what you did there. You think you can fool me.

Im wondering when skipping apostrophes on simple contractions became taboo. Its only one extra lowercase home row keystroke that many cant seem to bother with. I dont get it.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
