Random thoughts that are pointless and too dumb to say anywhere else thread: 2009 (Jan. – April)

I keep loading the Journal-Sentinel homepage and keep fooling myself into thinking this lady is Elton John:

Lime flavored tostitos are quite possibly the worst thing I've ever tasted.
Definitely a love it/hate it snack. I love them, and actually prefer them without salsa. But I like lime flavor. Still put a lime in my Corona or Land Shark too. My cryptonite is the vinegar potato chips.

Midday on a Thursday is not too bad a time to go to Woodman's West in Madison. Except someone cleaned the store out of turkey brats before I got there. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Sorry hawing, this is my annual 'eat your weight in turkey brats' weekend.
Well, better that than a turkey brat recall. Now I wonder if someone (other than Peavey) bought out the turkey brats out of a belief (however erroneous) that pork brats would bring on swine flu.

And Schlitz001, I hope you didn't act like that faux Italian audience in the Pizza Hut commercial who were certain that their cheesy mac with bacon was a Tuscani masterpiece.

I went to Woodman's in Oak Creek the other day. I don't understand the appeal. It just didn't seem like a pleasant place to shop.

There is no main entrance. The layout is confusing. There are walls dividing the place into different rooms. We stood in line for a long time to check out as only 3 of 18 aisles had cashiers... only to find out that there were more checkout lanes in a different room (most of them also without cashiers).

I suppose it's possible that it gets better; I know the store is popular. But my first impression couldn't have been worse.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

I don't think people go to Woodman's for a pleasant shopping experience. We go there for most of our groceries because it is considerably cheaper. About the only things we don't buy there are "fresh" meat and produce.

Maybe once it's t-shirt weather again, I'll wear my Branyan player tee for grocery shopping.
