The All Star game is in Anaheim, home of Disneyland. Hence the Disney tie-in.

Thanks Chris. . .That makes sense.

I'm still not buying, but it's less dorky than I thought.

honuswagner21 - I think I found the answer to your question.

Stars and Stripes Honor Flights started in Wisconsin a few years ago, and the event has been so popular that hubs have opened in other cities including Madison, La Crosse and Wausau. But Sunday's trip was unusual - it was the first time a Boeing 747 jet was chartered to fly 300 Wisconsin veterans in one trip. Last year four flights carried a total of 307 veterans.

Why did a Delta 747 land in Milwaukee at 6:30p? Saw coming in for a landing driving through downtown. Just seems like too much jet for this city

I have seen 747s fly into MKE before, but it has been when O'Hare has terrible weather and flights got rerouted.

I'm a little surprised that this year's April 15 game with the Cubs is being rebroadcast as a Brewers Classic. Perhaps FSWisconsin anticipates that it will be the historic last game in which Jeff Suppan started but did not get the loss?

Another random thought brought to clarity by Brewerfan.net. Thanks for pointing this out. I am kind of an airplane junkie so I was totally taken aback when I saw this coming in for a landing. Totally cool

When I woke up this morning at 6:30, I heard the cooing of a morning dove, the singing of a song bird and the buzzing of my neighbor's lawnmower. Isn't there some unwritten rule about mowing that early? It didn't bother me, but it just seems a tad early.

Most cities do have ordinances about that, but I think it varies by community.

It's also dumb to mow that early, because generally you have a good amount of dew on the ground this time of year. I'm not sure how it was this morning, but that's a good way to rust your lawn mower blades, or at least get them caked with grass clippings.

The Brewers' season needs more creamy middles.
Clearly you didn't see the group of 300lb dudes with their shirts off on opening day....

When I saw this story in the Wisconsin State Journal, I thought of JimH5 - since he is just about the only person I know (or virtually know) who takes an interest in bulls goring people.

Jim, you'll have to pay a visit to Restaurant Magnus in Madison one of these days.

I had to start work at 9 this morning and won't get done until about midnight. I just took an order for tomorrow morning that has to be done by 8 am. Hard to be funny at 8 am Sunday morning to begin with let alone after a long Saturday.
There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

After Gregg Zaun's home run in Sunday's game, FSWisconsin showed him in the dugout with his helmet off, and I swear it looked like he had highlights in his hair.

Either that or the lighting in the dugout was just so.

He got highlights because some strands are more important than others.

Sigh. I miss Mitch Hedberg.

Last week I was offered a receipt for a donut. I declined because as mitch explained, we do not need to bring ink and paper into this. Made me smile for like two days.
Did you check in the file? It's under D, for Donut.

I miss him too. Oddly enough, just two days ago I put his emergency brake joke as my Facebook status, and all my friends responded with their favorite Mitch jokes. It was a good day.

Yuku's new navigation bar uses a wrench icon to access profile settings. The British refer to that tool as a spanner. That means that every time someone gives directions for accessing profile settings, s/he has to tell people to hit the "wrench (spanner)" icon. The gurus should really change that icon to a hammer.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Sorry I missed your post until now. . .

That's a great article, and a great sculpture! The only improvement I would suggest would be to have the bull smiling. . .

I'm hungry, but I can't decide how hungry I am. I don't know if I should cook up the Jack's pizza with a "normal" crust or the Pep's pizza with a thin crust.
