According to Karl Ravech on Baseball Tonight, Tom Glavine has a great chance at getting win #300 against the Brewers since "the Brewers don't hit lefties well."

Boooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should change the team name to the Milwaukee Booers for not making a single deal that could have helped this team. I know Melvin tried hard to get Gagne, but now we are stuck with this sorry excuse for a team and will continue losing because none of our players are even trying to get out of their slumps right now.

I am furious.

I am sick and tired of this... this is the most boring trade deadline EVER!

Wow man, that should be in all blue. You're talking like this team is 15 games under .500. You do realize that the Brewers are still a 1st place team, right?

I understand the venting, as it looked liek something was going down, but heck, it happens.

Personally, I'll vent because Rickie Weeks has been pretty horrible this year. For a guy that was supposed to be the second coming, he hasn't done squat.

I just think this team is not going to get any better. It is like everyone has been saying that they have struggled since starting 24-10. That is more than 50 games ago. If everyone thinks this is just a "slide" then they are not watching the same team. They are playing pitiful and I am starting to dislike the whole LF tandem of Jenks and Mench and starting to dislike the fact that our whole rotation can't last more than six innings to save their lives.

I am about ready to go postal about the Brewers at this point.

some fans will never be happy pretty much. What has been killing us lately has been the bullpen, Melvin got one of the better available RP's in a trade, how is that not trying to help the team?

As for how terrible we have been since the 24-10 start, who cares, you are just picking an arbitrary date that is no more meaningful than any other date.

Since June 12th we are 23-19, does that make you feel a little better? From June 12th until July 24th we were 22-14 wit one of the best records in baseball over that stretch. Its not like we have played horrible all year except that one streak. We have had two ugly stretches of ball and two good stretches and ended up at around the record most people expected at this point.

So we did nothing? Wow. This team has enter Milwaukee Buck's territory of being so pathetic that I find it amusing. It's past being upset with this team. Yea, we're in 1st, this week, but you wouldn't notice if you watched this team. It's looking more like pennant hand off than a pennant race. It's funny seeing you people say "well the Cubs can't play this good all season, it's just a fluke". Maybe the Brewers hot start was a fluke? I don't see this team making the playoffs unless something drastic happens.

Again we are 23-19 in our last 42 games and the only reason the past week looked ugly was 2 blown saves and a blown game by the rest of the bullpen. All this doom and gloom makes people feel better I'm sure but saying this team is like the Bucks is just being short sighted.

Amen. But according to some his age and the position he plays means he's right on pace to get to the Hall of Fame!

Seriously though, I'm a little irked that they didn't go get an outfielder...Eric Byrnes would have been a top of the order guy to at least protect the Brewers in case of injury, and more likely send Jenkins and Mench to the bench where they would be decent options albeit expensive ones. J.J. Hardy needs to be moved down to the 7 or 8 slot in the lineup (please don't move this post to the designated lineup thread http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Jermaine Dye would have been nice too.

So what if they win? No action tomorrow either?

Personally, I have taken a break from the Brewers for the last week. Maybe that was just awesome timing on my part, but I am ready to jump back on the horse!!!

Board management is now forbidding us from having an In Game Thread tonight? Just because the Crew has struggled recently doesn't mean that the mods have to become fascists. Totally ridiculous.

Better watch what you say, us fascists have very thin skins.
