Hmm. Should I or should I not stick around to watch Yost make a smirky face at the questioning reporter, and say "It happens, guys. Give credit to the Phillies lineup. They battled. Cordero has been one of the best in the game all year. Losses like this happen".

Someone should hit Matt Wise in the face....ARGH!

That was the worst loss of the year. Unless we lose a 1 game playoff to the Cubs there might not be anything that can top this momentum changing loss as far as craptitude factor.

Well, we're going on a 6 game road trip now, and after the most disgusting loss of the season.

It doesn't look good.

I still can't believe we didn't win today. I'm just in shock. I assumed it was a done deal. It's like my boss called me into his office, told me I was getting promoted, then laughed a little and said I was actually fired.

This is like throwing a great party at your place, finally hooking up with the hot chick you've had your eye on for years, then waking up the next morning to find her gone, your apartment trashed, your HD and sound system missing, and a floater in your clogged up tolet.

Yeah, last night was great, but it's only a memory, you have a huge mess to clean up today, and unless things go right for you, you'll have to work extra hard to replace the things you lost.

I hate that the momentum picked up the last two days has vanished.

I hate that I've grown so accustomed to being worried about holding big late leads that when I went to lunch this afternoon as the 8th inning started I fully expected to come back and see the Crew had lost...and to have that fear realized!

I hate that I care so much about this team because they've stabbed me right in the guts about a dozen times this year...my wife has already said she can't wait for this season to be over.

Its not even the loss thta bothers me. Its the way we have lost most of our games of late. Blowing a 5 run lead in the 9th. Blowing a 3 run lead with your closer on the mound 2 outs and nobody on?

I mean you almost couldn't lose that game if you tried yet for the 4th or 5th time this year we did exactly that.

Bullpen is now spent and we have Vargas pitching tomorrow on the road.

yuck......

Yeah it really is quite obnoxious to lose so many games that seemed to be in the bag. My gut says the Brewers should be up 5 or 6 games on the Cubs if we just got the job done in the winnable games. Thing is we are pretty much right in line with our W3 so I can't really say we are losing more than we 'should'. The big problem is we no longer have a RP in the top 30 of WXRL and I'm guessing Cordero has dropped out of the top 50. The bullpen has been killing us lately.

After listening to the post game show, and hearing everything turn into something about Yost, which it always does, I had a few thoughts...

--If you are that unhappy, and hate him that much, stop going to the games. Nobody wants to hear everyone whine and complain, and personally it was much more enjoyable when there was only 20,000 going to games.

--If I was Ned, I'd say screw this. Much of Milwaukee has handled winning baseball horribly. The man can do no right, why would anyone want to hang around and put up with that garbage. You can't even have a thread on this message board, or listen to any sports radio without something anti-Yost coming up.

--I'm so sick of these new fickle fans who don't even understand baseball. I used to love the Usingers baseball post game show, but now I can't even stand to turn it on. It's really a shame how all this has gone down, is the world really THAT unhappy of a place?

Comes with the territory, and Yost knows it. There isn't a single fanbase that doesn't have some people that want to can their manager at some point during the year. That's life.

But, I agree there's plenty of fans who don't understand baseball. I cannot even fathom that anyone would blame tonight's game on Yost. That's just hilarious. We lost tonight because Wise and Cordero blew a 5 run lead. There's no reason to look to point fingers anywhere else.

It's the walks lately from our bullpen and starters when we have leads that are driving me crazy. We get a sizable lead and pitchers are out there nibbling like every batter is Bonds of three years ago and the bases are loaded, throw some damn strikes.

Cordero today was a prime example.Has two out and nobody on,throw the ball right down the heart of the plate if that's what it takes to not walk Rollins.Instead he throws a couple sliders and ends up walking him.Burrell comes up and again Cordero keeps praying Burrell will swing at those sliders off the plate, doesn't happen and another walk.

Make hitters hit their way on,all these free passes while leading games makes me eat Tums like a little kid eats Skittles.Putting three guys on base without them having to hit their way on in a game you have a 3 run lead just can't happen, but it's a growing theme.Everytime these walks happen, you can feel bad new coming.

Quick question:

How much of what happened today can be attributed to rotten luck? The strike zone conveniently shrunk to the size of a peanut in the ninth, we hit a bunch of balls on the screws right at people when the game was on the line, they hit a bunch of bleeders to score runs, and Rowand was out on that check swing save for a gutless third-base umpire.

After watching the Cubs get horrifically lucky in that six-run inning yesterday, it was something that stood out for me. I'm not absolving Wise, Cordero, Parra, and/or Yost or Braun or whoever. Just wanted to throw that thought out there.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.
