I'm rarely a Ned basher, but today I feel he's done an awful job managing the bullpen. Using Carlos Villanueva down 11 runs is stupid, especially considering whether they want to admit it or not he is tired. His velocity being down shows that. If Manny Parra can't pitch on 2 days of rest after throwing one inning Sunday and resting for 3 days after throwing 6 1/3rd last Wednesday, he shouldn't be on the big league club right now. As for leaving Gallardo out there to die, on one hand I can understand it, but on the otherhand this is a 21 year old kid who they hope to keep an innings count down for. Throwing 80 pitches in 2+ innings is like a 5 or 6 inning start if he's throwing well.

I am very dissatisfied with our play in this series.

Prince, why should we not boo exactly when our team is 9 games under .500 the last 3 months? I think you'd acknowledge that is an underacheivement. Especially how the Brewers are rolling along and then give up 5 in the ninth, but never come back on anybody in the final frame. This team has a lot of talent and it's pathetic the lack of success they've had. Not to mention our division stinks. We should be 20 games over .500 with this start and this talent. You're lucky the fans don't wear bags on their heads to the games. You're doing your part, now it's just a matter of getting everyone else to be accountable.

I'm going to have to start reminissing of Brewer glory days of the recent past like when Brady Clark made that over the shoulder catch. At least we didn't have any expectations back then.

This may be what is referred to as writing on the wall. When's teh last time Villenueva got a batter out? I think it is entirely possible that he was sent out there today because he could be going away soon. The again, there is an off day tomorrow, and teh bullpen has been pretty well cashed the last few days as it is. Unfortunatley somebody has to pitch those innings even though the game is decided.

I'll bet big money this Rockies offense will now go into the tank with the Scrubs coming to town.http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/mad.gif Such is life as a Brewer fan. Well, at least we got to enjoy the season a little longer this year then in past years. By this time in most years the brewers were an afterthought. Thank god, football season is starting. And to think, I had gotten my hopes up this year that I could actually start to like baseball again. See you all next year folks.

Can I say something so unforgiveable the vent thread gets locked? I am full of angry words.

Toast. We. Are. Toast. Its like 2004 all over, just with a bigger crash.

Except in 2004, we were still a few years away from having all the pieces to the puzzle. There isn't an excuse for this team.

Let me tell you all about the embarrassment I am feeling right now. I am a Brewers fan living in New York and everyone I know knows me as this huge Brewers fan. Lets just say I have been abused at work for the last few weeks because I stupidly still insist on wearing Brewers shirts to work on occassion. This team is an absolute laughingstock and I am sick of wanting to punch the guys I work with because this team is so bad.

Leaving Gallardo in the game as long as he did should get Yost fired on the spot. This guy is 21 years old and the future of the organization yet Yost lets him completely embarrass himself. I realize we need starters to eat up innings but Gallardo is the exception to this rule. We are trying to save his arm yet we let him throw like 80 pitchers in 2 plus innings. Nice way to look out for the guys future. He should have been taken out in the second inning and replaced by Spurling. Give Villanueva a break as well. Yost has completely abused him this year and his arm has basically fallen apart because of it. Enough is enough. Put him on the DL and let him rest a few weeks or his arm will be blown out and he will be no use to us next year as well as this. If it was Suppan or any of the other starters I would allow them to give up 20 runs in order to save the bullpen but not a kid like gallardo. The way Yost has handled this pitching staff and Gallardo and Villanueva in particular is horrendous. The team really looks like it has quit on Yost and a change needs to be made now. I really hope that come friday in Houston Yost is back home in Atlanta and this team can get on with the season without him.

2003: 31-50 home/37-44 road

2004: 36-45 home/31-49 road

2005: 46-35 home/35-46 road

2006: 48-33 home/27-54 road

2007: 39-20 home/21-35 road

Not sure there's enough of a trend there to blame it on Yost. But it's interesting that this team has been pretty bad on the road for three years in a row now, even when they've been decent or better at home.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

I still hope I'm wrong, but 78-84 is still a distinct possibility unfortunately. I think we should just focus again on having our first .500+ season since when? Third place and 82-80 wouldn't be a bad progression from where we've been, would it?

Didn't even watch or listen too this game. What's the point? It was going to be a lose anyways. Saw the score on ESPN bottom line; Brewers 4, ROCKIES NINETEEN. At first I ROLF'd then I saw Yo gave up 11 runs in 2.2 innings. WHAT THE HELL?!?!!?!?! Ned is worse than Girardi or Dusty Baker could ever be. Our young pitching will NEVER develope under Ned. He just can't manage pitching AT ALL. He needs to fired, that simple. Why even use Villanueva, Parra, Shouse, Turnbow? Game was over. I really want to see someone come up in here challenge that Ned is a good manager and doesn't deserve to be fired.

I'm not even going to type anymore on this until later. Afraid I might get banned or something.

From where we've been in the last 15 years, no. From what 2007 expectations were, yes.
