Two adjustments are being made to the Daily Menu above. The Timber Rattlers have announced LHP Mike Strong as tonight's starter, no word on the status of RHP Eric Semmelhack, who is not listed within the announced rotation through Saturday.

RHP Cody Scarpetta comes off the DL to start Game Two for the Manatees tonight.

Rogers was gone after .2 inning...did he get hurt?

More likely that he reached an inning pitch limit north of 30-something. A few Brewer pitchers have been pulled from games recently because of a similar outing.

Audio from Nashville — Dan O’Brien of the Brewers

Here is tonight’s interview with Dan O’Brien from the baseball operations department of the Sounds’ parent-club Milwaukee Brewers. O’Brien discusses some of the positives this season has brought for the Sounds and Brewers despite where both clubs sit in the standings, what decisions the Brewers have coming up this off-season and what he has seen from some of the ’13 Sounds who’ve had a major league opportunity this season.

Not sure exactly why 22-year-old 2013 28th round pick RHP Alex Moore among all this year's selections received such an early bounce to Brevard County, bypassing Helena and Wisconsin, but that was a heck of an effort behind Mark Rogers tonight, starting out by stranding Rogers' two baserunners.

How is it Austin Ross and others had to do due diligence on their Tommy John and other serious injury comebacks in Maryvale and yet Cody Scarpetta went straight to Brevard County less than a year after his surgery?

Obviously it's about player development and the hopeful return of a once-promising arm to form, but the young man has been on the verge of non-competitive (numbers, not heart) in 11 starts for the 'Tees, taxing their other arms and pretty much tossing the game in the gutter each time out.

Look what Ross is doing with the Rattlers now, at least his six mostly awkward initial starts were buried with the Arizona crew. Heck, Ross and Scarpetta could have piggy-backed in Maryvale for a few weeks.

End of rant.
