2013-08-10 Brewers (Peralta) at Mariners (King Felix), 3:10 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 2-0]

Recommended Posts

Tough luck loss for Peralta today. He's 8-12 but could easily be 11-11, or at the worst 10-11. No run support today (expected against King Felix, I guess).

8 innings of shutout ball against the Marlins on 7/21, we score in the 9th to win 1-0, no decision.

5 1/3 innings of shutout ball on July 2nd, a game we win 4-0. Again, no run support for Wily, as we score 4 in the 8th.

In his last ten starts, Wily has allowed 15 earned runs in 64 1/3 IP. He has a 2.10 ERA over those starts, but is only 4-4 because our offense is for the most part inept.

So who had this lineup down for even one game this year?

You don't even have to look at the standings to know how the season has gone...just look at this lineup and it tells you everything you need to know

  1. RF Logan Schafer
  2. SS Jean Segura
  3. DH Jonathan Lucroy
  4. CF Carlos Gomez
  5. LF Caleb Gindl
  6. 1B Juan Francisco
  7. 3B Jeff Bianchi
  8. 2B Scooter Gennett
  9. C Martin Maldonado

Ya, that lineup is brutal. :(

Ah, what might have been. Hopefully we can stay somewhat healthy next year.

this type of lineup has led the brewers to a 14 - 10 record since the allstar break, so, no, looking at that lineup, doesnt tell us everything we need to know. it was the "healthy" star roster of may that put us in the position they're in this season.
