I'm sure many of you have already heard that James Gandolfini passed away yesterday from a heart attack. I just wanted to say that I thought his portrayal of Tony Soprano was one of the best performances of all time. In my book, Sopranos is the best series of all time, and he was the main reason behind that. I know he was in a lot more than just Sopranos, but he will always be thought of as Tony Soprano. Way too early for him to go.

I agree with all of that. One of the all-time greats. I had held out hope that there would be some sort of Sopranos movie coming out, and now it is evident that it was not meant to be, at least with the Tony Soprano character in it.

 

Rest in peace to an incredibly gifted actor.

He was great as "Bear" in one of my all-time favorite movies, "Get Shorty." I would urge anyone that hasn't seen it to do so.

Yes! I never understood why that film never got more love at the time, I thought it was brilliant.
