2013-06-02 Brewers (Fiers) at Phillies (Lee), 1:35 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 7-5]

Didn't see an in-game thread for the June 2 game vs. the Phillies. (Moderators can edit as they see fit.)

Mike Fiers' day is done before getting out of the 2nd inning. 7 runs given up in 1 2/3 innings, leaving with a runner on 3rd base and two outs. Figaro in for long relief. Disastrous outing for Fiers.

Under Citizens Bank Park I don't see anything that definitively says that that rail is a home run. It's not very clear, though.

This is the most similar play I can find, even though it's in RF, not LF. But it was not called a HR.

That's what Block said. Nothing re LF but looking at the RF rules it wouldn't be a HR.

Video review took away Lucroy's HR and gave him a triple. I think they blew that review, but not much arguing from the Brewers staff.

There never is.

It's an automatic ejection to argue a review at all and it appears the umpires got it right.

This game was a perfect overview of the whole year so far. No pitching, and a very good offence that can't overcome the hole they are put in. I do feel hopeful though, the Brewers played 3 exciting and competitive games, and it should have been a sweep. I think the Crew is back. Now lets run down them sorry cubs and put 'em back in the gutter where they belong!
