I wonder what Vegas has the odds of RRR getting fired before June 1st at. I think the team has quit on Ronny

That's been my theory for the past 2 weeks now. There's just no way the Brewers are truly as bad as their record says they are. The Cubs are not better than the Brewers. I'm not sure if they are completely tanking, but it doesn't look like they are giving 100% effort. Segura, Aoki, and Gomez are the only that look like they're playing hard. Braun's been slacking. Lucroy's been slacking. I don't know about Aramis. It wouldn't surprise me if this team started playing better the moment RRR got canned. Brewers might be pulling a 2012 Red Sox on RRR.

There's still time in this one (assuming the 3 runs are a tease and taking into account everything I've seen this season to date which makes it funny to say the preceding), but if we chalk this one up as an L the Brewers need to play .500 ball in the next 6 games or they will be behind the 106-loss 2002 team at the 58-game mark.

Lohse's ERA is up to 4.37. And he'll be 35 this year. And we will still owe him about 30 million bucks after this year. And it also cost us our first round pick in a couple weeks.

We sure are a first class organization.

You need to relax my friend, your bitterness just can't be healthy.

Hard not to be. I look forward to Brewer baseball all winter, only to find that this is the product we're going to get this year.

It would be different if we had a future to be excited about right now, but we really don't.

It's good to see Logan Schafer have a good game. I really like him, and want to see him do well.

Hell, I like all the players on this team. There's not one Nyjer Morgan on this squad. Nobody I find grating. I just wish this team were playing better.

My goal right now, pebadger, is just to see them win tonight, or tomorrow. I don't want to match the April 1970 Brewers low mark of 5 wins. 5 and 22 would just be too much.

Why are we not sitting Braun? He's the franchise, and by having him in there with an injured thumb, he could really be risking permanent injury. It's not like we're going to make a run the way we're playing. Give him a few days off, or a week off, and let him get healthy. Because Braun, right now, is one of the only things keeping me interested, and people coming to the park.

I actually see this as a positive opportunity. If this team was average Melvin would be given year after year to spend money on aging vets and the appearance of a chance at making the playoffs. With the team playing so bad it may force attanasio to clean house. It may not bring us a great GM, but I'd rather have the hope of a new day than the fetid smell from the current decaying management...

There simply has to be something going on that we don't know about.. something like others have stated the team quitting on Roenicke. On that note how on earth are the marlins still 7 games behind us?? Good lord.

Ugh, please tell me we're going to drive in one of these two guys.

Two thoughts...

1) I find it humorous that people blame Molitor. Sure he got more money from Toronto, but he alsosaw a chance to win a championship...something we all say we want from our players. On top of that, Bando initially offered him less money than what he made the previous season. Imagine being an All-Star, 10th in MVP voting, 1st or 2nd in most categories for a franchise you've been invaluable to for 15 years...and getting a pay cut.

Bando was banking on Molitor just staying because he was with the Brewers for so long and being a poor judge of what the market would pay for a Hall of Fame hitter who hadn't slowed down at all. I hold no ill will toward Molitor and believe Bando had some sort of ax to grind from when both were players.

2) According to MLB Gameday, Lohse only threw 6-7 sinkers which is the biggest reason he has been so successful the past couple of seasons. I wonder if throwing that pitch at full speed (not in a bullpen session) was hurting his elbow or difficult to throw due to the "irritation."

Lucroy 10 for his last 37 (.270).

Oh please, Yuni. Really need a big hit here. Please please please!

I don't blame Paul Molitor at all for leaving Milwaukee. Nothing says "we want you" like a low-ball offer. Bando was a fool. Molitor should have retired as a Brewer, but if he had to leave, I'm glad he got a ring.

Great. This team can't do anything right. Three guys come up with men on second and third, and don't even get a sac fly to bring one in.

Meanwhile, Michael Wacha, who was drafted in the first round last year for the Cardinals, is throwing a perfect game against the Royals in the fifth. Tonight is his Major League debut.

At this rate, Wacha should be a Brewer in about 14 years. Mark your calendar, guys.

It's hard to stay positive - but what else is there?

alcohol.

Former Brewer Lorenzo Cain breaks up the perfect game. Moral victory. If Wacha had thrown a no hitter, I might have jumped off the roof.

I like this team because it means a top 10 pick in next years draft. Maybe the Brewers will get even worse and will somehow get the #1 pick and get Rodon. One can dream can't they?

So I looked up today when was the last time the Cardinals had Back-to-back losing seasons. You know them as a brewer fan and they've been perfected by the pirates. So it's not bad enough they turn water into wine and lead into gold, but they haven't had back-to-back losing seasons since 1975-76. YES! 36 friggin years......

I don't know why I'm laughing, that's probably sadly true if Melvin is still at the helm.
