It is hard to imagine how different baseball would be if not for the work of Dr. Yocum and some of his colleagues.

 

Lots of respectful and thankful messages on Twitter today from the baseball community, including players whose careers were saved by his work.

He, Jobe, and Andrews deserve a place in the Hall of Fame. Plenty of guys who are there or will be there because of them.

 

Didn't know he lived in Manhattan Beach. I might have run into him and not even known it.
