2013-05-28 Twins (Diamond) at Brewers (Figaro), 7:10 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 6-5, 14 innings]

We really need some decent bats on the bench. Maldonado, Schafer, Gonzalez...all are hitting below .200 iirc.

How long has this game been going on? Those three ladies were teenagers when it started.

Understood. I'm always hoping Braunie hits one out. Aramis juuuust missed a juicy one on his AB. He knew it, too.

Braun was my #1 fantasy pick, and his home run and stolen bases numbers are down.

2 Leagues. Win with 9th pick on Fielder. Lose with 4th pick on Kemp...So I feel your pain on the down HRs/SBs. Why didn't I believe in McCutchen? :indifferent

My team has under-performed this year. I'm a game below .500 with this:

C Yadier Molina

1B Joey Votto

2B Ian Kinsler (Matt Carpenter right now)

SS Troy tulowitzki

3B David Wright

OF Ryan Braun

OF Starling Marte (in for Matt Holliday)

OF Alex Gordon

Utility Jean Segura

Starters:

Matt Harvey

Madison Bumgarner

Matt Cain

Chris Sale

Matt Moore

Shelby Miller

Derek Holland

Hyun-Jin Ryu

Jose Fernandez

Bullpen

Mariano Rivera

Jim Henderson (injured)

Edward Mujica

Trevor Rosenthal

My team just hasn't put it together yet. You'd think that group would be wailing.

We'd fall to 5-20 in the month of May if we don't score here.

Why am I still watching this?

Segura. That's why I'm watching. Brauny and GoGo, too.

Ok, Braunie. No pain, no pain...mind over matter...

"Be strong, Brauny, be strong."

Call in Mr. Myagi to rub his thumb. :laughing

Braun needs to sit a few games. I don't want him battling another nagging injury all season long, and his thumb looks like it's preventing him from consistently driving the ball.

So depressing losing all these games with the way Segura and Gomez are playing. Also depressing knowing the Brewers have the offense to compete for a World Series for years to come but no pitching help in sight.

I'm confused who is stuggling with your Batters? You have all the HRs/SBs you need from Segura/Marte...and wait for it...Wright. Must be a deep Keeper League for you to sit soooo dang nice with that lineup.

Then your pitchers.

Harvey,Moore,Miller,Sale have been lights out. Bumgarner/Cain are well enough to expectations. Ryu just likely eclipsed expectations with his CG 2hitter tonight. I don't get it? Must be tough luck.

I'd just wait patiently for the other teams to come back down to earth. You should be rocking some weeks and at least break even others. That's how I'm doing. Either .500ish one week to .800 the next. Which results in a .630 win and 1st place currently.

10 hits for Segura in the last three games, and we've lost them all. Unreal.

Just some really bad luck. The teams I've run into the last few weeks have just been a little better. Running into Miguel Cabrera hurt, he almost single handedly hit more home runs than my entire team. My pitchers have been lights out, but not getting quality starts or wins. Point in case, Matt Harvey gave up one run tonight, but got no win. The Mets scored two runs in the ninth off of my closer, Mariano Rivera, who got the loss.

Hell, in one week I had two complete game one hit shutouts from Harvey and Miller, yet Harvey got another no decision. Cain has been awful, very hot and cold, and when Bumgarner has been good, he's gotten no run support.

I stuck with Matt Holliday too long, and only switched to Marte a few weeks ago. My guys have also been taking a lot of days off. Braun keeps missing days here and there, as does Tulowitzki.

I'm pretty confident I'll be good, I just need some consistency.
