I was at the game yesterday where a friend purchased a Uecker Shirzey. The question I have is, why is he number 9? My confusion starts because he was #8 when he was with the Milwaukee Braves. He was #9 when he was with the Cardinals

 

So why did the Brewers pick 9 over 8? (Especially when he never wore that number here?) Was it because Braun wears 8? And now Segura wears 9? So does he need a new number now?

 

Label me confused.
