As much as I was looking forward to watching Peralta pitch this year is how much I hate watching him pitch now. To me he just serves as a reminder of how pathetic we are at developing starting pitching while our rivals crank out aces.

Peralta really isn't pitching that poorly. A bunch of these hits are ground balls. One of the hits should've been an error. The stuff is electric, the ground balls are there, the strikeouts aren't yet but saying you hate watching Peralta pitch during this game is kind of stupid. The Dodgers aren't lacing liner after liner and getting extra base hits off of him.

The problem is there are no other guys. Thornburg is getting shelled in AAA. There's no one else in Nashville worth a lick besides Hellweg. You can probably go ahead and try Hellweg, but don't expect much.

May as well try Jimmy Nelson if you want to look at Huntsville, but he's not on the 40.

No, what's stupid is trying to justify 7 hits and 2 walks in 1 and 2/3rds and to continue to make excuses for a guy with a 6.62 ERA game after game. Electric stuff doesn't mean squat if you can't throw strikes with the bases loaded. Manny Parra had electric stuff too.

this wasn't even peralta's fault pitch trax was showing a lot of strikes right on the bottom of the zone being called balls, the check swing that was an obvious strike not called a swing, fluke single by hernandez and two errors (i font care what the official scorer says). I blame Weeks 100% the brewers haven't won a game hes started in 2 weeks and have won every game hes been on the bench... this is ridiculous and as a complete die hard this is way more frustrating that the early 90s teams that you knew wouldn't win, this team should be better and there is one piece that is screaming to be changed and the front office is just looking the other way.

I agree - Peralta is pitching horribly. Just another example of our inability to develop pitchers. As I have said before - might be time for a system wide redo of all involved with scouting and developing pitching.

Just because Rock had a conniption fit about it doesn't make that check swing call as bad as he would have you believe. It was borderline, but it wasn't a blatantly obvious blown call.

Trust me, I'll gladly blame the umpiring crew when necessary.

We are such a fundamentally stupid team. I've had it with these outs on the bases.

We don't really have a choice but to stick with Peralta especially now with Fiers at least temporarily taking a spot from Lohse.

I highly doubt that DM would dip into the AA ranks and anything we pull up from AAA isn't going to be any better. Although I do like the thought of bringing up Hellweg just because I want to see him
