In his last three games, all starting at second, Bianchi has gone 2-5 with 2 RBI, 2-4 with a RBI, and 2 for 3 tonight. 6 hits.

Rickie Weeks with 6 hits in his last 17 games.

Tell me again how Weeks needs to be starting?

Hmm, which Axford do we get tonight?

There's no pressure tonight. We have a 3 run lead, and we're 9 games under .500. So, of course he looks good. Three games in a row he's looked like the Ax of old. But wait until there's a high leverage situation, where the game's on the line. RRR will put him in, and he'll blow it.

Just looking at the Dodger numbers to compare their woes with the Crew's and this stood out to me:

Coming into tonight they are 13-4 when Kershaw and ZG start. They are 5-21 when their other guys start.

The back end of the Brewer rotation is 11-12. Of course Gallardo and Lohse have been chalking up losses, though Lohse has fared worse than he deserves.

Come on, Kintzler. Don't walk him to put 2 on for Gonzalez!

Maybe it's just me, but these in-game-threads seem to keep getting sparser and sparser.
Maybe it's the team...or maybe it's the threads have turned into brewergripe.net. The lineup stinks, Ron stinks, Rickie stinks, Ax stinks, blah blah blah...

They are definitely not anywhere near as interesting as they were a few years ago. You are right, they are a nightly vent thread dominated by a handful of posters. There used to be more statistical and analytical backing to all the posts on Brewerfan.net, even the game threads. Now, not so much.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I don't remember Henderson having this kind of velocity last season. Low 90s if I recall. He's consistently 95 + tonight.

There's quite a bit of analysis going on. As to the game threads, I'm not sure what you're expecting when the team is 3-15 for the month. A lot of people trying to remain positive, but a lot of frustration mixed in.

He threw harder on average last year than he has this year.

The anger and bitterness here has given me no desire to post any longer. I read, from time to time, and I'll chime in, on rare occasion, but the fact that debate and discussion and logic has all but ceased to exist makes bf.net a shell of what it was, even two years ago.

Really? Hmm. Maybe he's just doing a better job locating his pitches then. He's been lights out thus far. 9 for 9 in save opportunities, and 26 K's in 19 IP, and a nifty 26:5 K:BB ratio. My fantasy team thanks him. :laughing

A shell of it's former self is a good way to state it. There are so many shortsighted views instead of the larger/longer view than there used to be. I still visit mostly out of habit and hope to catch Brewers news faster than anywhere else.
