2013-05-14 Brewers (Lohse) at Pirates (Locke), 6:05 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 4-3, 12 innings]

Step one: check.

I am going to predict that every batter for the rest of the season makes an out and I will be right about 68% of the time!

Predicting Rickie being out is a higher percentage. I've been a huge fan of his, but this is getting ridiculous

You know in this day and age knowing how putrid Weeks does in High Leverage situations, wouldn't a sane decision be to pinch hit for him there? Bianchi then Maldanaldo, then if a scoring opportunity is there Lucroy?....I mean having under a .100 Avg in those moments seems very simple choice to make.

I know it was a rhetorical question but the answer is no, that would not be the sane decision. If you think we should expect Weeks to bat .100 in any situation, you are off by a very large amount.

You guys are just spewing the typical "analysis" I can hear from any casual fan at a corner bar. Enjoy agreeing with each other.

Especially given the PH possibilities. It's not like we have Matt Stairs ridin' the pine for just such an occasion. Jeff Bianchi and Alex Gonzalez vs. Rickie? That's like comparing a turd, to a turd on fire.

Well, the good news is that Axford has been used, he can't give up the tying or winning run agian tonight.

It is truly time to try and address the black hole we have at 2B.

Hey Bianchi got a hit the other day, and rather than reward him with some added ABs he rides the pine thus far.

wha? why the pinch runner for ramirez here with 2 outs? I think I'd rather have ramirez in the game if it goes another inning or two here. Did he hurt himself?

I don't know but I doubt he hurt himself. Seems like RR has subbed out for him late in games a lot this last week and a half since he's come back from his injury.

Betancourt, Weeks and Maldanado coming up. Yay!

I had the same thing happen when I was umping little league. It hurt like the dickens and I couldn't talk for the rest of the game. I can't imagine what that is like at 90 mph.
