My double take of the morning. Kevin Gausman's AA K:BB ratio

Kevin Gausman, Baltimore's #2 prospect behind Dylan Bundy, has put in 35 2/3 innings at AA Bowie. He's 1-2 with a 3.53 ERA. Not numbers that jump out at ya. His WHIP, however, is outstanding: 1.065.

I had to do a double take, thinking MLB.com had his walks wrong. The site showed 32 strikeouts and 1 walk.

1 walk in 35 2/3 IP.

I checked Baseball Reference. The numbers are right. He currently has a 32:1 K:BB ratio.

When was the last time you saw that at any level of baseball? I don't think I've even done that in a video game before.

There are three things America will be known for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music and baseball. They're the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced. Gerald Early
