I did not look in the store this weekend, but on Sunday a fan in our section had that jersey on, as well as a 1913-style cap (only white with a blue M instead of the opposite).

Torts, I don't know how motivated you'd be, but it's probably a lot cheaper to custom make one of these. A local athletic supply store might be able to apply the block M to a similarly designed blank jersey.

guess is that you'd be looking at $50 as a median price.

I run an embroidery shop. Could easily do this for $50, applique material and jersey included.

I can't stop laughing at some of the jerseys on there. That being said, those ones are pretty simple and look decent.

you mean you cant wait to get your $18.50 Egan jersey?

I was at the game that they wore those. They were available in the team store, that day at least. My buddy really wanted one, so we went in during the game and he looked at the price and then not so much.

I look at people that have these jerseys and they are so obviously a knockoff that it really defeats the purpose of saving of money to me. I'd rather buy an authentic jersey t-shirt for $25 or even a replica jersey for $80* than wear a jersey like this.

*(The thing that stinks about the replica jersey now though is that they are of such poor quality on MLB.com, Fans Edge and authentic retailers. They used to be the real deal minus the arm patch. Now they are like iron on numbering and lettering.)

Almost-related: I actually have a Pat Egan spring training jersey, snagged at a Brewers Community Foundation sale at the ballpark last summer. Egan is a surname in my family history and during the 2-3 weeks he was with the club in Arizona, my mom and my aunt were pretty excited about it (though it's highly unlikely we're related). The only drag is that Pat Egan is a tall dude and his jersey is ridiculously long on me.

The knockoff modern baseball ones are terrible. However, I have a few Mitchell & Ness throwback ones that you honestly cannot tell the difference. And I've also bought some hockey and football ones that look great as well.

Agreed. Everything seems to look good except the modern baseball jerseys. Basketball and throwbacks look great too, along with the hockey and football. Football jerseys look the best in my opinion. The new Nike knockoffs look awesome.

so I got the jersey this morning, and here are some pictures I hastely took before going in to work this morning... looks pretty solid to me! Saved over $270 by buying it directly from China instead of through MLB.com/shop, who describe the product as Made In America, but the Origins are from China. Cut out the middle man looking to make a buck off of third-world labor..

Looks good. I had a chance last year to get some China made Packer jerseys for dirt cheap but passed on it.
