but he's not a 1B.

This is not an excuse, its not that hard. Its like saying its ok if an NFL tackle who plays guard just on the extra point team allows someone to run right past him because he's not a guard.

I agree, but IMO the error was one of decision-making in that he didn't decide whether to make the play himelf of make the toss and then got caught in between. That kind of decisionmaking error comes with a lack of familiarity with playing the position.

Cardinals fan? Are you lost? Just kidding, welcome!

Thanks! Nah, not lost. Been lurking here since 2011. I just love baseball and like to see other fans views on things.

You are welcome to post here so long as you don't make antagonist trolling comments like say Braun is steroid boy or others of that vain.

I second that welcome! As someone who occasionally peruses other fan boards as well, curious which site you consider your "mother-board"?

Not just “at Night” anymore.

How does Miller look tonight?

I keep waiting for him to get shelled (I have him on my fantasy team) because he pounds the zone and only throws two pitches.

I gotta hand it to this Miller kid, i can't remember watching a young pitcher have as much success as he's been having while throwing almost entirely just fastballs.

Which is why I would expect us to start to hammer on him at some point in time....I'd like that time to be now please!

Hey, they finally got a call!

If you are talking about the play at the plate, it wasn't even close.

Yep, I failed to blue that comment.

I disagree, that call was very close. The ball definitely beat the runner, but the runner's hand very nearly touched the plate before the tag. I do believe the correct call was made, however.

Nah, that's not me. Don't tell my friends but I actually like Braun.

If I had to say....I guess I would go with http://www.reddit.com/r/Cardinals/ but I don't post much there either.

I promise I won't cause any trouble here. I just like talking/ENJOYING baseball!

Hey all.

How's Aram looking since coming back? I see he's got a hit, haven't turned on the game yet as I'm waiting for my pizza.

Runners on base + hits = runs.

Too many times that simple equation isn't fulfilled against STL. Need to turn runners into runs.

Sometimes you need a little help from the baseball gods. The Cardinals clearly are a good team, but yesterday they scored six runs on mostly well placed grounders and flares.

Now Lohse gets pinched again.

I'd be surprised if that were the case, Beer. The classic pinstripe uni + hat is too popular.
