The Strangest April Stat Is...

Fowler has hit his off of a bunch of pitchers who are struggling in April so his just seems flukey. Buck is for real but obviously is just a hot streak.

For me it is probably Justin Upton with 12 HR already and 11 of them being solo shots somehow!

Not strange maybe but Craig Calcaterra on Hardball Talk,

http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/30/and-that-happened-mondays-scores-and-highlights-84/

says Gallardo, of all people, hit a home run. Now Gallardo has hit a HR every 27 at bats as opposed to every 41 for Derek Jeter. Do you think he would say Derek Jeter, of people, hit a home run today?

Aaron Hicks is slugging .127 and he has 87 PA's.

Among players with at least 10 PA's this season, Yovani Gallardo is 16th in MLB with a .452 wOBA.

Kameron Loe has given up 17 fly balls in 11.2 innings. Eight have gone for homers.
