2013-04-29 Pirates (Rodriguez) at Brewers (Gallardo), 7:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 10-4; 5 HR and 3 3B]

Just got home..great to see it's 9-2, just mildly annoyed that the first thing I see is a leadoff triple by Segura and the heart of the order can't pick him up.

I've given up on Weeks. He is having the same first half all over again. He's 30, he is what he is by now.

Its hard to see Weeks finishing with a better OPS than Segura, whoever made that bet.

This offense is going to be incredible when A-Ram and Hart get back and Weeks remembers how to hit.

The amazing thing is that none of the big names have really been hitting like they are capable of hitting. Braun's gotten his homers, but I think his best is yet to come.

Weeks has been terrible, of course, but Lucroy hasn't been a whole lot better and Aoki has slumped lately too. I'm a little bit concerned about all three of them going forward, but who knows? With A-Ram and Hart playing productively, look out!

With his pitch count pushing 60 in the 3rd inning,I have a feeling the bullpen will make an appearance early.

I'm a Gallardo fan, but watching him pitch is sometimes very painful.

High pitch counts just irritate me. Will he ever be a consistent 7 inning guy, or will we always just hope to get 6?

We should have this discussion every Gallardo start.

We need a double cycle (bicycle?) tonight from CarGo and Jean Genie

Has that ever happened, two players with a cycle in the same game? What about two teammates? The Brewers are good at doing rare things. I know a few years back we had two players hit three home runs in one game (Sexon and Burnitz).

That would be so cool. And still, it wouldn't make ESPN's home page! :laughing

Yuni top 5 in the NL in RBI? What in sam hell is going on here? LOL

Thanks! Luc totally seems like the kind of guy that could eat fifty eggs without batting an eye.

Rickie Weeks need a "week" off.

As one of the biggest Rickie Weeks fans... I completely agree. Very disappointing that Roenicke hasn't taken the initiative to sit him down for at least a couple days. Whatever they've been trying to get Rickie back on track clearly isn't working. Time for plan b.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the Rickie Weeks supporters reasoning on letting him play through it and possible slump or whatever, but clearly something else is going on with him.

Yeah, I said Segura would out hit Weeks this season. Looking really good so far.

At this point Yuni is locked into the starting lineup, so Ramirez will probably start to cut into Weeks' playing time. What happens when Hart comes back? Does Yuni move to 2B? Is it possible that Yuni could hit so well for another month?

Wow. Figaro with the 97 mph heat.

When was the last time the Brewers had 3 relief pitchers that can hit 97 MPH on the same team? Should Olmsted get his chance they could have 4. Power bullpen.

So if the All Star game was tonight, the 2 brewers offensively that would probably go would be Gomez and Segura. Hehe.

Braun would go as well. His average is down a bit, but his power numbers, and RBI's, would still warrant his selection.

Ooof. Stanton just went down trying to leg out an infield single in the MIA-NYM game. Grabbed his hammy like someone shot him in the leg as soon as his foot hit first. Looked painful.

The dude should have stretched prior to game time. Just kidding! Those suck, because they can happen at anytime and there's really no way to prevent them.
