2013-04-26 Brewers (Burgos) at Dodgers (Beckett), 9:10 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 7-5]

At what point does he sit? 4 for his last 40. He is batting .100 his last eleven games. Enough is enough.

Not an awesome call but he also needs to put a bat on that ball.

The fact is that no batter can always put the bat on the ball, which is something most managers consider when deciding not to obsessively call for sueeze after squeeze.

Which has worked a ton for him?

I am sick of explaining this. What do you think is the break even point in that situation?

It might be a small sample, but thus far, Scooter Gennett is hitting .417 at AAA Nashville. 25 for 60, .928 OPS. Can't we at least bring the kid up, because Weeks is useless at the plate right now, and awful in the field.

I am saying, All managers for the most part terrible. They are all going to do something that is going to upset a fan base. So getting upset over a squeeze bunt over and over again when for the most part has worked for him in the past seems odd to me is all.

I'm not going to get on Segura for not getting the bunt down. That was a hard sinker going down and in. I blame Roenicke for a stupid call.

Yea, you look at that replay and it would be very difficult to get a bat on the ball. One more downside of the suicide.

And it's not like RRR doesn't know he throws a hard sinker. Or at least he should know that. In his career 88% of his pitches have been that hard sinker. You have to know that that's the pitch that's most likely coming and that it's a really hard pitch for a right handed hitter to bunt. Roenicke is just an idiot.

Our infield of the future, Segura and Gennett.

Can't we form Voltron, and get these two together now? Please?

Well good thing you added to the conversation with that. Everyone enjoys a conceded conversation so just keep going if you want. I am done now.

Gonzalez, Lalli, Aoki...doesn't sound very promising

Gonzalez will swing at three pitches out of the zone and strikeout, Lalli will ground flyout to shallow right, Aoki will do his weak one handed swing and ground out to the pitcher.

Fwiw, it was mentioned earlier on the Dodgers broadcast that Rickie is a "slow starter" and his average last April was .189

Last April he was coming back off a pretty messed up ankle. He has no such excuse this season. Without looking at the numbers I don't think Weeks has exhbited any sort of pattern of 'slow starts' while healthy. Which only makes his current poor form more concerning.
