I know Gennett is hot to start the year at AAA, but you really need to go look at his minor league numbers again. He hasn't had a good year since A ball. I do think in time he'll be a solid 2b, hopefully in the prime Brian Roberts mold.

Weeks is plain awful right now and probably the worst player in baseball that sees as the amount of PT as he does, but there's almost no way he'd be outperformed by Scooter Gennett from this point on.

He hit .300 at A+ Brevard County, and .293 at AA Huntsville. He's never going to be a big power hitter, but I'll take a guy hitting .290 with little power over a guy with all the power in the world hitting .165.

I do not like Rickie Weeks AT ALL and thought his contract extension was a mistake the second the ink dried. But again, there's no reason to believe Weeks will continue to hit .165. He'll probably settle in at .230 like last year and put up a low 700 ops. Not a good ROI for what he's being paid, but it's most likely better than what Gennett would manage.

Ripping on Rickie and Augie...this site is starting to get to me.

Had fun at the game tonight. Much better vibe than the last two years between McCourt and the fan incidents. The park is alive again...at least between the third and seventh.

The Dodgers completely sniffed out the squeeze. I even mentioned it to my daughter that Hairston knows RR and we saw that Gonzalez was sneaking in. That and walking Punto to get to Gonzalez? I know this is the first time RR has had a shiny new toy LOOGY to play with but anyone to Punto is better than anyone to Gonzalez. Not RR's finest game.

Nice to see Mr. Braun come through with the long ball for my daughter...she's a big fan. He always seems to hit well in LA. You are forgiven Ryan for not inviting me to the Malibu pad for the BBQ yesterday! We're missing tomorrow but there on Sunday.

I asked you what you thought the break even point was and you ignored the question. The point is, the majority of the time, with a runner at 3rd with 1 out. 1 run will score without giving an out away. You also have a chance of scoring multiple runs. All managers know squeezes will work most of the time. Most are smart enough to know that isn't the point.

So you responded with "you don't get it". Gotcha ya.

What is the break even point?

You've been around for awhile. There have easily been 2 dozen posts last year alone dedicated to explaining the position that suicide squeezes need an incredibly high probability of success to even justify attempting it. You are free to disagree with that position but your response suggests you've never even heard it before. Hard to muster up the effort to respond as a result. You already know what you know.

Braun does look off so far this year. I thought it was his neck but maybe it's more than that. His pitch selection isn't on par with how selective he's been in the past. Seems like he's swinging at a lot more pitches outside the zone.
