Bombers caught?!?

Can this get dropped in the bucket for more bad journalism? Where can you go to get decent news anymore?

Despite the mistakes there was some excellent coverage out there. You just have to sift through the crap to get to it.

By the way, they caught the guy about four blocks from where my brother lives.

Yikes. Hope everything's ok with him & his.

Yes, thanks. That's me. We heard the shots and flashbangs right before they captured him. Pretty insane. What I can't figure out is how they didn't check that yard earlier in the day. It's only maybe six blocks from the initial shootout. Pretty freaky to have this going on in my neighborhood.

Glad to hear it, dhoffman. I can't even imagine what it must've felt like to experience all of that almost literally in your own backyard.

It felt scary. I went out to the grill as soon as they lifted the "stay inside" order and within 5-10 minutes I could hear all the cops racing down Mt. Auburn Street a block away and the chopper closing in. Was it stupid of me to stay outside until the chicken was done? Probably - although we never in any real danger. Very cool scene after the arrest when the cops were leaving the area and a big crowd was cheering them on.

I also work 3.5 blocks from the marathon finish line and I was in NYC for 9/11. I say this not to sound cool, but to warn all of you to stay away from me.
