The "Scout" on MLB Gameday provided this little bit of info:

 

That was pitch number 45 for Yovani Gallardo; his effectiveness may start slipping, as he holds opposing hitters to a .355 average in the first 45 pitches but they hit .500 off him after that.

 

Wow. They really need to turn that thing off until July or so.

 

They need to use career stats. Even in July, this type of information is descriptive, not predictive. Single season splits tell you what happened, not what to expect going forward.

 

It's frustrating that while baseball is anti-stats in some ways, the stuff they do show is often worthless.

I wish Betancourt and Segura could play SS at the same time. Betancourt would position himself about 10 feet behind Segura, anyway. It would be a blast to see the difference in their reaction time and range.

 

I wish I had access to the Sportsvision camera data to compare the two.
