Despite that horrible slide, Weeks said before the game against the Giants he had not broached the subject with Roenicke to move to another spot in the lineup.

"I'm fine with it," Weeks said. "We talked about it just the one time, the first day he did it. Obviously, you get pitched a little differently but it's all the same."

Weeks said Roenicke told him it was best for the team for him to bat fourth and that was good enough for him.

"You can't do that (complain)," he said. "We're trying to win games. I'm not one to make excuses or anything like that. I'm struggling a little bit but you've got to go out there; there's no pity party.

"We've got to do our job as a team. It's not about me."

Despite Weeks' willingness to take one for the team, Roenicke said he's still thinking about the cleanup spot on a daily basis.

"I still think Rick fits the profile well when he's swinging the bat," Roenicke said. "He got out of whack at a time right when I put him in the four-spot. So, we'll figure that out, whether it's Rick or we move him back to second. I don't think 'Seggy' (Jean Segura) is going to want to hit fourth, so we'll figure it out."

Boycott continues

Are you doing this boycott because of Weeks batting cleanup? If so, you are going to miss quite a few games. That's something that I'm just not capable of doing.

And when the Brewers traded for Segura and said he would start SS, I just assumed it was Melvin once again trying to play someone at a position they wouldn't be able to play well at. Opps!

I was deathly afraid of this as well, simply because it's something Doug seems to like to do, not because of anything I knew about Segura.

Yuni at 1B. There is no reason to start Yuni at 1B. It is asinine.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Watching Lohse pitch so far in his three starts, i can see why he had so much success the last two years with the Cardinals. He doesn't throw above 91-92, but his command really is fabulous. Almost every fastball/sinker is on the corners be it outside or inside, and he has a plus changeup which he also commands well.

If Peralta had command like that, he'd win a CY Young award.

I have to fully admit that Doug Melvin (Mark Attanasio) made an excellent decision by going after Kyle Lohse. He is better than Gallardo.
