I have to assume that Yuni could have been close to a triple on that one.

Yeah, I was a little surprised that he wasn't able to make it to 3rd, but it was a really strong throw and it looked like he would've been out had he tried it. I'm wondering if he had slowed up, assuming he had a safe double, before seeing the outfielder bobble the ball (and I wouldn't blame him for it).

Boggs had an understandably short leash in that inning but to be fair none of the balls were really roped.

Nice to see an opposing pitcher have some of our bad luck for once (we have also had some bad pitching, but you know what I mean).

long term expectations are what you should expect going forward for all players. All this hot and cold streak being predictive in the short term is utter nonsense.

Hey look, tie game!

That is not some fact, it is your opinion. I am sure you have heard me say this before, but you cannot treat human beings as independent variables. Baseball is not roulette, previous results DO impact future results.

Of course you should expect long term behavior ON AVERAGE, but a true strategist can make the call when you should go against the average, because the last time I checked there are no probabilities in baseball that = 1.0. There are times when the average doesn't occur, if you don't try to account for these rare times you will not maximize the number of times you are right.

RRR, making decisions.

And there are those who claim managers don't lose games.
