Front Row Andy/Amy and waving fans

turnbow59

I was just wondering how much longer this little thing will go on. Two games into the season and both of them have made an appearance already, making the assumption that this will be regular once again in 2013. The novelty must wear off at some point, am I right?

Maybe Im just a fuddy duddy, but the fans behind home plate and the people on their phone waving at the camera really annoy me during the game. I hope this dies out sooner rather than later, but who really knows. I tend to listen to more games on the radio now anyways, so I guess that helps solve the problem.

I know she's a minor celebrity for her looks and I've seen guys getting their picture taken with her, but as Outlander said she keeps to herself during the game. Who is front row andy?

He sometimes sits in Amy's seat and impersonates her. He's pretty spot on with mannerisms and things like that. I can see that impression getting old though if he keeps doing it. It is pretty funny seeing a big guy like him dressed and acting like her though.

Andy is an Amy impersonator - you can google him for a photo, I'm sure.

I have no problem with any of it. Amy definitely hasn't sought the attention she ended up getting. And for those that say she definitely loves the attention... how is that different than a lot of other women - or just people - in general? It's nice to get attention. Who cares?

I find Andy mildly amusing, but neither he nor Amy annoy me in any way.

My stance on Amy is split. (Disclaimer: she and I are both 40-something women. Otherwise we don't look alike at all. :) ) We have not met in person, but we have struck up something of a Twitter rapport.

The "attention" side of her does not appeal to me. The "Brewers fan" side of her does.

Although she's only been following the team for a relatively short time, we were all newbies once. Better late than never. I don't think the Brewers fanbase will ever be too large, so I'd rather be inclusive than exclusive.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Agree with all of this 100%. Don't really understand the hate for any of it.

She does not seek attention at the actual game though, which seems to be the complaint. If she goes on Facebook, twittet, sports radio I don't really care because I can ignore that, not follow her, not interact with her. I have never heard or seen her outside the actual game.

I admit to be surprised last night that Front Row Andy was back again. My sister-in-law even called me to ask what the deal was with him.

I would agree that Amy doesn't do anything at the games to draw attention, but Andy obviously is. I think his shtick is funny, but it tires quickly.

Other fans waving at the camera has existed forever, and will continue to do so. How many people go crazy at every game from being on the scoreboard? The excitement of television is even more.

The only thing I'll add about front row Amy, and this may sound a bit judgemental, but......my understanding is that she lives in Oshkosh and is married with kids (younger kids if I'm not mistaken), but she goes to all of these games by herself. That is quite the understanding husband she has.

Have you ever seen the semi-porn/semi dressed photos she posts on facebook?

She definitely loves and craves attention. I'm not buying the fact that she doesn't want attention at the games, if that were true, she would dress a little more conservatively. I have seen her at Rattler games, she enjoys the attention there too, and she spends a lot of time texting and/or on the phone, but so what, a lot of people do these days. I was at a game last year that was very cold, and she was dressed like it was 80 degrees and sunny. High healed boots, very low cut shirt, showing off her goods. By the 3rd inning, she had went someplace and put on a coat and mittens... lol

Anyway, I don't mind a little eye candy, but she does flaunt it, and I don't understand how someone with little kids can spend that much time away from the family alone. Just seems odd to me.

I have no problems with Amy for the same reasons others have stated. I think she is good for the fanbase.

The gentleman who dresses as Amy was really funny the first couple of times he did it, but now the joke has played itself out. I don't find him annoying or distracting, but for his own sake I hope he realizes that it just isn't quite as funny anymore. He is like a Weird Al song that you don't want to play too much to keep yourself from hating the original.

I have no problems with Amy. I would, however, have a problem with a ripped dude wearing a tanktop sitting in the same seat.

.

Surely she can't be the first woman you've seen dressed more for fashion/looks than weather/comfort. :laughing

I more had a problem with the guy the size of a tent sitting behind home plate on opening day. There was a normal sized guy sitting right next to him early in the game, but he was clearly uncomfortable due to the overlap from the neighboring seat. He moved and never returned and the large fellow had the seat next to him open for the remainder of the game. If you're that big you need to buy more than one ticket or possibly sit in a handicapped area. Don't ruin it for other people.

Honestly, if I didn't know her name from all of the outside discussions of her, I don't think I would even notice her during a broadcast. I'm far more focused in on the pitcher, catcher, and hitter when I watch.

This is my biggest issue with Front Row Amy and I am a 30 year old guy. Hot chick for sure but I heard she lives in Oshkosh, which isn't exactly Wauwatosa or even Delafield, so that means to be there by first pitch she is leaving at 5ish and not getting home until after 11. Seems like a huge chunk of your kids lives are being missed.

Put me into the club that thinks its a bit odd how much time she spends away from her kids. I will say I think shes a bit of an attention seeker as well, I recall last year when she posted on Facebook and Twitter about how she was "literally balling her eyes out" during Greinke's last game as a Brewer and on the last game of the season.

There's nothing wrong with it at all. We are talking 4-5 hours every home game. Not entire days. For someone who is a die hard Brewers fan one can make it work. Plus, can't take young kids all the time or hardly at all during the school season. It would be hard having both parents at the game with the kids at home for that many games as well.

I'd do the exact same thing, but when the kids get older I'd add another seat or two to the package. I don't know how old her kids are.

There are plenty of other parts of the typical Brewers broadcast that annoy me more - not that I think FSN does poor work or anything, but there are necessary evils of broadcasting to a wide audience that chip away at my soul (the "*insert local business here* play of the game" or twitter/text questions). Some lady in a low-cut top isn't going to be the back-breaking straw. For me, anyway.

She goes to about 40 games a year, not all of them. She's with them every other day of the year. I really don't see an issue with that at all. Pretty sure she's home with them all the time other then when she goes to games based on what I've read, so I don't really see why it's a big deal.
