2012 - 2013 NHL Thread

Go Bruins. Hopefully Chara stops with the woefully inaccurate wrist shot that he's fallen in love with.

And this is a ratings dream for NBC. Two huge markets that will pull 20s at the very least and if the series goes long could be pulling the 30s and 40s.

What a game last night. Milwaukee came in as the 5th highest rated market behind Chicago, Boston, Providence and Buffalo.

Massive rating for the NHL.

Wow, that's cool. I was actually thinking about how different things would have been had Milwaukee gotten and NHL franchise instead of the Bucks. Don't get me wrong, I love the Bucks but I could totally see an NHL team being huge in that city in a way the Bucks haven't been since the early 80's.

It's not exactly a great comparison since this is the Final and the Bucks were the 1st round with no chance of winning.

Game 1 - 7.6

Game 2 - 4.9

Game 3 - 3.3

Game 4 - 6.3

I can't find game 2 right now but a team that isn't in Wisconsin drawing the same rating as the Bucks in the playoffs isn't very good for the Bucks.

One of the better Stanley Cup Final series. Two very evenly matched teams. The playoffs, including the Final pretty much made up for the short season. That was an absolutely unbelievable final minute of Game 6.

I never thought that the Blackhawks would win two Stanley Cup Finals in four seasons. It's a major turnaround for a major league franchise.

That was unreal. Bruins probably feel about the same as the Leafs did.
