I remember when Nolan Ryan was a FA and rather interested in the Brewers. Harry Dalton was a fool and didn't think the Brewers needed him. The guy pitched another 10 awesome years and won more Cy Youngs. I could just imagine how lit-up this board would've been at the prospect of bringing in one of the games all-time best pitchers, with many inevitably against it because -- Heaven forbid! -- he was already in his mid-30s.

 

This is just unnecessary stickling and has nothing to do with your point or this thread, but I always like to point out that Nolan Ryan never won a single Cy Young award.
