Not a bad move for the Cubs depending on how many years and how much they are going to be giving him.

I feel Carlos could finish the season with at least a lower ERA. Likely not as many innings. but maybe as many Ks. at half the price or less over Jackson. I think any team willing to give Carlos his starting chance will get a good return on the money they give him so the signing would be a good one for the Cubs.

I'd give the edge to Jackson. He seemed to honestly improve last year. CV just gives up too many HR to ever be a good pitcher.
