Badgers have been horribly sloppy with the ball in teh first half, and Bruesewitz has been a turnover machine. He is the absolute arch-type of the gangly, uncoordinated white guy that Wisconsin is known for.

All that being said, the usual smothering defense has them up at the half.

I agree 100% that I won't miss the guys leaving. I really grew tired of watching this team play and how they played "offense". They just seemed so unskilled an unathletic at times and as many of us on here talked about, the scoring droughts were ultimately going to be their demise.

Just can't score in the 40's with 25% shooting and expect to win. Great coaching job by Bo, as this team vastly over achieved IMO, but sitll disappointing to get bounced in the first round.

I'd be lying if I said I'm excited for the Badgers in the near future, either. I think Dekker will be great, but I have not been impressed with Traevon Jackson or George Marshall at all. Add to that the prospect of Kominsky playing 30+ minutes a game, and their offense might be just as bad next season.

Take some time looking into Nigel Hayes, Vitto Brown, Bronson Koenig, Riley Dearring, and Ethan Happ. I think you'll regain your excitement.

You have to love being a 7/10 seed when the 2 goes down in the first round.

I didn't see much of the game because I was just flipping from the Carolina game during breaks, but FGC looked like a very athletic team, and boy could a couple of those guys elevate! They did beat Miami earlier this season and stayed very competitive with Duke for about 30 minutes before giving up something like a 30-1 run. They are by all means a solid #15 seed (around 125 in Kenpom -- he gave them a 10.4% shot at winning) so I guess this isn't a completely shocking result.

Also, Shabazz Muhammad may have a career in baseball: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/9086435/shabazz-muhammad-ucla-20-not-19.

I'll personally miss Berggren a lot (mainly for his defense), but neither of Bruisewitz or Evans. Especially Evans. Ugh.

I feel like Bo is a solid recruiter, excellent teacher/practice coach, and a bad in-game coach. The lack of changing the offensive approach in today's game, when it was clear no jumpers were falling, was maddening. It seemed simple enough to me to start running the offense through Berggren in the post. And his personnel decisions were maddening -- he kept playing Kaminsky when Berggren wasn't in foul trouble, and not surprisingly Kaminsky kept getting outmuscled and/or beaten.

They played like crap today, and it's one more early exit for the Bo-led Badgers. 7 of his 12 trips have ended at or before the 2nd round. That's so frustrating.

Yeah, Berggren is/was underrated. If he would have had the same 3-point % as last year (37%) people would have a little different opinion of him. Not sure what happened to Evans this year - he had a very good year last year and most people thought he was ready to break out, but instead took a big step back. At the same time, I think some have a bit too high of expectations. If these guys were as good as some think they should be, they would be in the NBA by now. I wonder if UW's lack of depth, or Bo's lack of confidence in their depth, caused several players to wear down by the end of the season, which impacted their shooting % and turnover rate.

Bo is a very good coach/teacher, but I wonder sometimes why very few players make an impact until their junior season. Berggren did nothing until his junior year, same with Evans, and had Gasser been healthy Jackson probably wouldn't have done much this year. Is that because of how difficult it is to learn the system, because Bo doesn't trust underclassmen, or because he recruits players that are raw and need time to develop? Because of that, can we really expect anything from the incoming freshman class next year? Anderson and Dukan have done nothing so far; hopefully they and Jackson can make a similar jump as Berggren and Evans did their junior year.

I think it's mostly that he doesn't trust or like playing underclassmen. Dekker's leash was so short this season that it was comical at times -- one TO or ill-advised shot? Evans is jogging to the scorer's table. Dekker did earn a bit more leash as the season progressed, but Ryan just doesn't seem to have the patience for some of the mistakes younger players are prone to making.

Marshall would never have seen the floor this season if Gasser hadn't gotten injured, and like you alluded to Jackson would've had like 5-10 min./game. Not saying Marshall is someone that we need on the floor in terms of talent, but he may as well have been redshirted if Gasser were playing.

If I'm not mistaken, Marshall redshirted last year, so he simply would've ridden the pine a lot this year. That or Jackson wouldn't have seen nearly as much playing time and Marshall would've been the backup point. Either way, things would've been drastically different if Gasser was healthy. But the experience Jackson and Marshall got this year should really help greatly for next year.

Another great comeback by Marquette, but the only reason this game was close was because Butler shot almost 50% from 3-point. Vander Freakin' Blue again with a monster game; we're starting to see him fulfill his potential, and hopefully this continues through the rest of the tourney and into next year.

Bah. That was an ugly game all around from UNC on the offensive end. I can't believe they managed to miss 51 shots in a 40 minute game. Could that be close to some kind of record? Oh well, overall a good season given the loss of four first rounders. If Bullock and Hairston return they're easily a top 20 team, and maybe a title contender if Wiggins commits.

I'm cheering for FCGU from here on out, as well as Miami.

My new favorite team in the tourney EASILY has to be FGCC. Taking out the #2 seed, and barring an insane collapse, heading to the sweet 16. Amazing!

First 15-seed to ever make the Sweet Sixteen.

They're a blast to watch play. Legit talent... I wonder how so many of these guys slipped under the radar in recruiting (or what the alternate backstorys are if that wasn't the case).
