They were strongly considering Rick Peterson. I know he was not liked around BF, but gosh did he have a bad collection of pitchers he had to work with.

I always thought Peterson would've been better served teaching proper body mechanics to younger guys, as a minor league roving guru of sorts.

Ya I think Peterson is def a development guy but not a major league coach, when most guys only want to tweak things here and there. I always got a snake oil salesman vibe from him (that's way too harsh of a comment, but just a little off). I think that type of stuff would be great for guys just starting out, or high school kids.

I didn't dislike Peterson so much as the hype surrounding him. That and his mullet. Can't trust a guy with a mullet.

Haha, that made me laugh....but I think you really are on to something. There maybe a few exceptions to the rule however. Yount, Deer, Incavilia (no idea how to spell that) are all trustworthy.
