Actually, here is what is posted on MiLB.com's FSL transactions page:

Brevard County Manatees placed RHP Jacob Barnes on the 7-day disabled list retroactive to April 24, 2013. elbow injury

That's a bit disconcerting...

We have since been informed that the "elbow" indication, still on the MiLB page as of this morning, is inaccurate. That's a good thing.

Via Wisconsin's Media Notes:

ROSTER MOVES: The Milwaukee Brewers have announced that pitcher Jono Armold (stats) has been transferred to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He is active for tonight’s game. Reliever Martin Viramontes has been placed on the disabled list.

Armold is a 24-year-old who pitched well in rookie ball last year, so this was a needed bump from extended spring training for him. Arnold was drafted in the 30th round last season, two rounds after Martin Viramontes (stats).

Catcher / utility man Joey Paciorek moves down to Huntsville from Nashville, with Khris Davis now taking the Nashville roster spot. Huntsville's spot was opened when catcher Adam Weisenburger landed on the DL with an undisclosed injury. Weisenburger's season had been off to a fantastic start (stats).

RHP Taylor Jungmann has been placed on the DL in Huntsville.

And now, per the J-S' Todd Rosiak:

"Asst Brewers GM Gord Ash says Taylor Jungmann on the DL in Huntsville with a nerve issue affecting fingers on his right hand. Team is being proactive prescribing rest and treatment in the hopes of nipping Jungmann's issue in the bud."

Don't quite understand this one from a baseball perspective --

This would have been the age 21 summer for RHP Carlos Sosa (career stats), the 6'6", 236 lb. Dominican product who threw well in Maryvale in 2012 after two strong Dominican Summer League seasons, has been released, as per Baseball America.

Fine career ratios throughout, this one is puzzling.

Brewers sign RHP Tim Dillard

The Milwaukee Brewers have signed right-handed pitcher Tim Dillard, who was pitching for the independent Lancaster Barnstormers of the Atlantic League. Dillard, 29, pitched in the majors for the Brewers from 2008-2009 and 2011-2012.

A 34th round pick by Milwaukee in the 2002 draft, Dillard spent six seasons in the team’s minor league system before finally getting the call to the big leagues in 2008. In his rookie season, he posted a 4.40 ERA in 13 relief appearances, and spent most of 2009 as a starter for the AAA Nashville Sounds. After spending all of 2010 transforming into a sidearm pitcher with Nashville, Dillard saw major league action again in 2011, when he posted a 1-1 record and 4.08 ERA in 24 appearances with the Brewers. 2012 was Dillard’s busiest season in the major leagues, as he made 31 relief appearances throughout the season, going 0-2 with a 4.38 ERA. In total, Dillard has appeared in 73 games (all in relief) at the major league level, and has a 1-4 record with a 4.70 ERA.

After the 2012 season, Dillard was granted free agency and spent his winter hoping to land a job with a major league organization. After no teams showed interest, Dillard signed with the Barnstormers on April 5th and, like many other players in the Atlantic League, hoped that his play would be noticed by a major league team. In seven innings over six relief appearances, Dillard has not surrendered a run so far this season, striking out five and giving up only three hits.

For the Brewers, Dillard will likely report to his familiar setting of Nashville, and may help the big league club at some point during the regular season.

Dillard is the second Atlantic League pitcher in as many days to sign with a major league team, joining York Revolution righty Josh Judy, who signed with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Thursday.

Turns out Dillard will be a replacement for RHP Chris Jakubauskas, who is dealing with a sore groin.

As was speculated in last night's Link Report, Hunter Morris was indeed injured in last night's game. From the Sounds' official Twitter account:

BREAKING: @HunterMorris15 placed on DL; K-Rod Nashville bound, transferred to Sounds from Brevard County

Please refer to this informative post from bkrause2 (quoted below) for details on Morris's injury. My guess in Friday's Link Report (that Morris had caught an injury on the basepaths as the first out of a double play) was incorrect.

Jeff mentioned during the broadcast that Morris had a head injury. He sustained the injury when he collided with Chris Dominguez in Friday night's game. I went back and watched the play on milb.tv (It's at the 2:07:30 mark for anyone that has a subscription) Morris fielded a squibber, Dillard got in his way and then when he got around him he had to kind of dive to try to tag Dominguez and collided with him. He was down for a minute but it looked like he was okay (of course I thought the same thing about Corey Koskie and that didn't turn out so well). Jeff said he was day-to-day so it didn't sound too serious. Hopefully just a case of better safe than sorry.

Brevard roster at only 23 on their off-day, losing Mike Fiers (Milwaukee) and K-Rod (Nashville).

They get OF Ben McMahan (broken thumb in spring training) back, which should be a boost. McMahan, Lance Roenicke, Chadwin Stang, and IF/OF T.J. Mittelstaedt on the Brevard roster, as we continue the Mitch Haniger promotion watch.

42nd round 2010 draft pick OF John Dishon out of LSU has been released. Didn't take advantage of extended playing time this spring.

Catcher Parker Berberet begins serving his three-game Midwest League suspension Wednesday night and has been placed on the suspended list. Catcher Brent Dean has been activated from the disabled list and is available tonight.

Berberet got a bit too up-close-and-personal during an umpire argument last week...

Nice to see their stays on the DL were very brief (via the Manatees):

RHP Brooks Hall activated from the disabled list.

RHP Jacob Barnes activated from the disabled list.

Both players will be active Thursday night in the series finale against St. Lucie and Hall will be the starting pitcher for the Manatees.

Brevard County is now at the Florida State League limit of 25 active players.

At Brevard, RHP Tyler Cravy has been activated from the disabled list after a brief stay.

To make room, RHP Seth Harvey, the club's closer (10-for-10 in save situations), has been placed on the 7-day DL.

The Brewers have seemingly been rotating Manatee pitchers on and off the 7-day DL in recent days. Perhaps they are simply creatively getting the arms a mini-break during the long grind of the season. Until we hear otherwise, we would expect to see Harvey back soon (he was placed retroactive to 5/16).

LHP and new sidearmer Daniel Meadows gets a welcome and needed bump from Brevard County to Huntsville.

INF Adrian Williams has been activated from the Manatee DL.

The Stars will need to make a corresponding move, almost assuredly on the pitching side (currently with 13, they're not going to 14), but they may not have to make the move until Sunday. We'll see...
