I like Baker and think he fits a profile of a guy worth a short term incentive laden deal with one caveat. While his K rate is good and should be better (assuming he comes all the way back) in the NL, he is certainly a flyball pitcher and has allowed 8 HR in just 38 career innings at Miller Park. Small sample to be sure, but troubling.

The Twins' declining his option was completely expected, but they want him back at a reduced rate & he may be looking to return, too.

Would've been a good move for the crew. I guarantee you there is a game next summer where Baker shuts us down.
