It would be amazing to get a good start out of marcum and flip him for anything valuable.... I would re sign him but it doesn't seem like doug and Co have the same opinion

This is a critical start for the Brewers wrt Marcum, and how he's able to perform the rest of the way is quite possibly the most important stretch of Marcum's individual career. No pressure.

Naturally, the wind is blowing straight out to CF pretty strongly. :ohwell

Also Eddy Cedar needs to turn that arm into a windmill with Braun up, pad those RBI stats

Weeks would have been out by about 80 feet if Sedar sent him.

OK, not watching.

When I see double to LF that usually means Soriano is involved but I see FromChrist is out there today

Yeah even if Soriano was out there he still would have been out by 80 feet. He had to hold up because the wind held it up so it looked like it could've been caught until the very end when it bounced off the top of the wall. Weeks did a head first slide into 3rd on the play even though it wasn't really needed.

Braun is so lazy in the field. Casually jog to a ball in the gap, it splits you and Gomez so casually jog to catch it at the wall. Huge windup which easily allows the run to score and Castro to get to 3rd.

Oh come on. That ball by Rizzo wasn't 'smashed off the CF wall' or however BA said it. That was an easy flyout without the wind blowing out. And like trwi7 said, the RBI on Castro's triple was largely due to Braun not going all-out after the ball in the gap. If he'd shown more hustle there, that's a 2B with the lead runner stopping at third.

Marcum's actually not looking bad in terms of his stuff or command to this point. If this is a non-wind-blowing-out game, we're talking 1 run & Marcum out of the inning.

Hopefully we brought the bats today. Stupid not to keep playing Aram. You're on a hot streak RR, ride it dangit.

Why do I have that sense of this game being a frustrating one?

Dodging huge bullets. Marcum has to give us 3-4 shutout innings now.
