Unbelievable. Homer, single double, no outs. Way to go Loe, you spare. Given a two run lead, and you're going to blow it.

He decided to give up a grand slam to Soriano.

And now a walk. Can anybody explain to me why Loe is still in there? Is Roenick asleep? Watching Sportscenter on his iPhone???

Thank God. Soriano's suckiness is greater than Loe's suckiness.

Now come on Brauny, crank one out.

Because the idea that you can identify when a pitcher is off simply based off the results of the first few batter's faced is largely a myth. RR was rewarded for sticking with Loe.

Ron got lucky sticking with Loe.

Lucky is putting it mildly.

How many managers stick with their pitcher in that situation?

No pats on the back for "believing" in your players there, that was pure luck.

Loe gave up three quick hits. Plenty of managers stick with their relievers in that situation simply because another option is generally not warmed up and ready to go. Was this the exception? Also, why is everyone convinced that another reliever would have been the better option anyway? It was the 6th inning. You would have seen the bottom of the barrel relieving Loe there.

You guys are being silly, IMO.

Seriously, if you guys managed this bullpen this season, you'd need a 15 man bullpen.

Ya, we're being silly considering how many times this bullpen has been given a lead this year, only to blow it.

K Loe relieved M Estrada.

B Jackson homered to right center.

D Barney singled to right.

B LaHair hit for M Bowden.

B LaHair doubled to deep center, D Barney to third.

Second and third, no out, and Loe getting rocked....I'm pulling him. It was blind, stupid luck that Loe got out of it.

Who else do I put in? Maybe Henderson, maybe K Rod, who has been pitching better of late. Is it possible that they could have blown it, too? Sure. But Ill take my chances with a different look on the mound rather than continue with a guy that is giving up batting practice to the lowly Chicago Cubs.

Gomez and his HRs are starting to get very interesting. Too bad the Brewers only have his rights for one more year.

1. If you are considering how often the bullpen has blown a lead when deciding if Loe should be pulled there, I believe you are being silly.

2. I will ask again, was any other reliever even ready to go? It's video game mentality to assume another reliever is always available.

It's not a video game mentality at all, and it's hardly silly. If LaHair hits that ball a little better, we're down right now, then this whole "good job having faith in Loe" line is quite different, isn't it?

If a reliever comes in and gives up a home run, a single, and a double...at that point any decent major league manager is at least getting somebody else up in the pen. Did Roenicke do it? I don't know if he did or not. But after another walk, Soriano came up with the bases loaded and two away. It could have gotten very ugly. Loe is lucky that he got him out.

Seeing this lineups numbers at years end will have me really excited for 2013. They can put up runs in a hurry. Stolen bases, doubles, dingers. Love it!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
